This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws
include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.
Hi, could anyone tell me how much a taxi would be from the airport to Hotel Imperial, maybe a cheap taxi firm as I know this mode of transport may be expensive!
If this is too expensive is there a train that you can catch near airport to the hotel?
Thank you :)

To get here is very simple. From the airport take a train into Amsterdam Central Station. From there take Tram 4 or Tram 9, get off at the 4th stop, which is Rembrandtplein. When you leave the tram, you will see a statue of Rembrandt. Look to the right of the statue and you will see a road with two rows of trees (Thorbeckeplein). We are on that road between an Italian restaurant and a Argentinean restaurant. Or simply take a taxi: about EUR 50.- from the airport, EUR 10.-from Central Station. If you do take a taxi from the airport, give me your flight details and mobile no., and I will have a taxi meet you. The fixed rate is EUR 49.00. Taxi regulations have been relaxed within the past year, and there are many untrained and unscrupulous drivers running up their meters.
