Location is great - in a quiet neighborhood, with great connection by tram and foot to the city center and the museums. Beautiful large rooms. friendly and helpful staff. Big con - no elevator, may be tiring if you have a room on the 3 floor... However, must point that the staff carried all the heavy luggage up to the...

The rooms wee big, the carpet a bit smudgy, but the bathroom and the room itself otherwise very clean. Great value for the money. Nice balcony to the back of the house into a courtyard. Very friendly personnel. For the price paid, really great. They were lovely to my pet and had a welcome goody bag. Very nice touch.

I stayed at The Neighbour's Magnolia Hotel only for one night as I was visiting the city for work purpose. I chose this hotel as I had to stay close to the Museum Quarter and the hotels over there were overpriced. This hotel is just 10 to 15 mins to the museums and it's relatively less expensive - still not...

I loved my stay at "The Neighbour's Magnolia." The location was very convenient. It was literally one block from the tram that goes directly to the Centraal Station. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and small. But, The most important thing was the bed-- I only used it to sleep. Never mind the supposedly difficult...

Dear Marcel Klemm, First of all, let us apologise for the inconveniences during your stay. In your letter you address two issues, the additional costs for the extra bed and citytax and the parking situation. With respect to the additional costs we tried to explain to you during your stay that this is a problem which is not in our...

Great location. Close to tram. Walking distance to museums. Many restaurants nearby. Lovely neighborhood. Friendly, helpful staff. Beware of very steep and winding staircase. Small room, barely large enough for one person and we were two adults. Small bathroom with very short tub and undersized shower. No circulation of air. Only one window. Inadequate space to hang and unpack clothing.

Thank you very much for your kind remark on the friendliness of the staff, also glad to read you appreciated our neighbourhood! But we are sorry that the room did not meet your expectations. The hotel is located in a listed building, therefore all rooms have different sizes and the standard rooms are smaller than the superior or deluxe roomtypes....

We arrived very early on the Saturday morning not expecting to be able to check in. A very friendly gentleman informed us that he would have our room ready in an hour so we left our bags and headed out for a coffee. We came back an hour later and our room was ready like he said it would be....

The hotel is situated in the Museum Quarter and is essy walking distance to plenty of restaurants, museums and canal cruises. The room was spacious but not very well lit and the bathroom had not been serviced or cleaned properly. I found the narrow twisting stairs difficult to negotiate with a big suitcase early in the morning.

The rooms are bare bones. Stayed in a single, which was probably 12 feet by 6 feet. The bathroom was tiny has probably a 4 foot bathtub in it. Honestly, it is a bit depressing. No AC or Fan. My room faced the street, and it was very noisy all day. All of this would be fine, but I would...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
