We stayed twice over a long weekend, excellent hotel, perfect location 5mins to station and close to shops. The staff were very helpful. Very good continental breakfast included. Rooms clean but quite small. Recommended

Only a minute from Amsterdam main train station, this hotel is ideally situated for travellers who arrive late at night in the city. This in itself is already a great advantage, however, there are many more reasons why I would recommend it. First of all, it has a very friendly atmosphere which reflects the attitude of all members of staff...

Overall the hotel suited us very well. Location next to train station right in the centre is ideal. Staff very friendly and helpful. Service excellent. Continental breakfast is included and is very good. Just a couple of gripes - the beds were too soft, especially for my wife who has replacement hips, the room looked out onto a grotty back...

Perfect location for a late arrival at Amsterdam Centraal. The staff is really friendly. We had the Old Dutch Suite with a private patio, totally isolated from street noises. The breakfast is a self-service and is OK (just missed some croissants or cakes). Last important point: they have a locked room for your stuff in case you want to enjoy...

The position of this nice *** hotel is perfect: right in front of the Central Station and with lots of restaurants all around. Furthermore, just crossing the road there's the pick up and drop off point of the bus going to and from Eindhoven Airport. The "Train theme" is quite original, very nice and enjoyable. The triple room we stayed...

I stayed at this Hotel for a couple of nights during my visit to Amsterdam. We came over on the Overnight Ferry from Hull-Rotterdam and then a bus into Amsterdam. This Hotel is just a stone-throw from the major bus and tram terminals and Amsterdam Central Station!! In-fact, the Bus dropped us off across the road from it!! Everything to...

Excellent location if you need the railstation close to your hotel and at the same time want to be in the city center. The buffet breakfast was good for us, beds comfortable. There was a steepy staircase in our room, leading from the room door to the room itself. It wasn't a problem for us but it can be a...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
