We read some fantastic reviews for this place and were looking forward to staying there. We ended up disappointed. Perhaps it depends on which room you get, but ours was cramped, poorly furnished, and poorly maintained. Staff were detached and indifferent. Even for the price, we will not be going back to this hotel.

Booked this for a budget weekend away with my boyfriend. Expected it to be very basic but still had high hopes based on the very funny website, the cute rooms shown in the photos and the tripadvisor reviews I had read. Was sorely disappointed. At no time did we encounter any charm during our stay, either in the room, which...

I have searched a lot for a nice place with reasonable price. I found this place through trip advisor (Thank you :) ). I am very happy with the stay. The one should know what to expect. It's Amsterdam so almost every hotel has stairs, they're relatively small... so this is what it is. Don't expect a Ferrari while you...

Other than a great location, there is absolutely nothing to recommend this guest house. We were in a room facing the canal - it was very noisy most of the night and hard to sleep because we had to keep the windows open because it was hot and muggy in the room. Speaking of the room, it was in quite...

We wanted to spend a night in Amsterdam without spending too much. The Prinsenhof offered the cheapest rooms and was well rated on TA. So, we took a chance. We were not disappointed. For the price we paid, we really enjoyed the location in front of a canal and close to nice restaurants and pubs full of locals. It was...

Bearing in mind how inexpensive this place is, I really cannot complain about it. The room was not terribly small, and we actually had a nice view of the canal. The room looked worn but was clean upon arrival, though we were not sure whether it was cleaned during our stay. The man in charge of the hotel was, perhaps,...

Let`s speak frankly. Hotels are expensive in Europe. If you would like a lot of amenities, plan to expend more than 200 euros a night. But if, on the other side you are looking for a reasonable priced hotel, don´t search any more. Prinsenhof is your destination. A beautiful old canal house converted in a smal hotel. Rooms are not...

My son and I spent a week at the Prinsenhof and had a wonderful time. We paid 70 euro a night for a twin room with shared bath, breakfast included, and it was one of the best values I have ever received on lodging. I prefer to stay in B&Bs and so the Prinsenhof suited me perfectly. It is in...

This is the second time I have stayed here and this time was better than last time. We booked a twin room with shared facilities but got a triple room with private bathroom, which was fantastic. The room was huge and had a view of the canal. It had nice antique furniture and was very clean. It was quiet and...

Nice flair in a charming one star hotel at Prinsengracht; located within walking distance of all major attractions. Very basic hotel but central and quiet and cosy.
