The hotel was pretty 3 star. We didn't have a safe in our room. The good thing about the hotel location is that it's near to all the famous clubs and music places in Amsterdam milkweg. Breakfast was pretty standard so the second day we skipped and went to a nearby bar/cafe

Perhaps the location is not ideal but it is near the Van Gogh museum, one of the must -see attractions in Amsterdam. The rooms are small, just like almost all the hotels in the city, however it gives the hotel a ship-like vibe. Staff is friendly, and breakfasts are ok.

Nice hotel with a good location. Walking distance from the city centre and close to public transportation. Small but clean and comfortable rooms. Lots of restaurants in all price ranges in the neighbourhood.

Lovely hotel, brilliant location We stayed for 3 nights. Nice breakfasts which kids really enjoyed. Just a couple of minutes' walk from Leiden Square and where you can pick up the Love Canal boat cruise. Main tram stops 5 min walk away. The hotel does front a main road which we overlooked on the first floor but the noise wasn't...

We had books da standard room for two nights at a cost of euro 188 when we checked in and had a look at the room the bed was actually a twin so really not anywhere near big enough for two people to sleep in. The reception desk attendant did change our room with any additional cost without any hassle...

I spend 5 days, room small but clean and pretty good. Everything close, you can walk to every place. Max 20 minutes. Across the road coffee shop:) I liked it, I would come back and stay in Hotel de Paris.

The location was amazing! Right by the square with shops, and plenty of food selections. A drive to Red Light, but everything else was nearby. The Hotel was a bit creepy. The hallways, and rooms smelled awful. The Hotel reception was helpful, but you had to turn your keys in overtime you left. When you return you just call out...

The hotel is old, charming but the bedroom is a little noisy. The bathroom is good to Europe. Next to great places. You can walk to go to almost everywhere but if you want to go by tram is easy too. The staffs are nice and the breakfast are good enough.

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
