The location is great - just 15 minute walk from the Westerkerk and Anne Frank's house. Very friendly and helpful staff, with good English (which is quite common to Amsterdam, as we could see). The room was clean, well equipped - but really tiny, getting around the bed was tricky at times. Another dissapointment was the elevator - quite slow...

I stayed here just before Christmas with my mum, as I took her to Amsterdam for a Christmas present. I visit here quite a lot and have stayed in various hotels across the center, but this is one of by better experience. When we arrived we where greeted by a man and a lovely lady, very warm welcome, knew who...

Location Perfect, room clean, very tiny. Noisey could hear everyone moving up and down the stairs. Difficult to maneuver luggage up the stairs but hotel staff willing to help. We booked a room with a queen bed for one night but it was a double bed up against a wall. When we complained the gentleman at the front desk said...

I stayed here with a friend for a long weekend. The hotel is well placed for visiting all parts of Amsterdam (we even walked to the zoo which took about 45 minutes) and is about a 15 minute walk into the centre. Very friendly staff, the rooms were clean and have radiators that you can adjust the temperature with easily....

Linden hotel is located at around 20 mins walk from central station in Jordaan district and attractions are easily accessible such as Ann Frank house and church. Rooms are nice, clean and compact with enough room to keep luggage. Lift is slow however it serves the purpose. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again

Stayed here for the first time last night - room was compact but clean and had all requirements covered. Good breakfast this morning and really enjoyed chat with manager, Echo, whose enthusiasm for area is infectious. Wooden stairs does create noise of you've inconsiderate fellow guests late at night but overall a positive experience. More tourist than business traveller clientele...

Great value for your money, isn't in the center but Amsterdam is a small city you can do everything walking distance. The hotel is difficult to find, use the coffee corner as a reference. The breakfast is not included but you can go to the coffee corner we have fantastic coffee and sandwiches

We were seeking a hotel in Amsterdam that was nestled in a quiet area amongst the canals and we required an elevator to get us up to our room. We are surprised that few reviews mention the elevator or did not notice it. It is close to the front desk and typical for Europe, only holds two people shoulder to...

The hotel is located in an old charming house in Amsterdam city center. Even though our room was on the smaller side, I found that the way it was organized allowed for a comfortable stay for two persons with two suitcases. The personnel was friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early, which was much appreciated. I would...

The room itself was not very big but after reading up on the hotel we expected this. This didn't matter as you are very rarely in your hotel room. The staff were excellent and couldn't help you enough! They were very friendly and give great advice about the city. It is also a very clean hotel! I would definitely recommend...

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
