Good location. Nice bathroom, although the room was small its only to sleep in anyway. Lots of awkward stairs tho. Decent price for the location too. I would stay again and have used this hotel a fee times.

If you are looking for a cheap hotel like this one. Dont. Spend the extra money and get something that wont make you feel like vomiting every morning. - Hotel stinks and looks terrible - Grouchy staff - Incredible steep stairs to get to your room - No cooling in rooms - You won't sleep because of the noise of...

Stayed here with a group for a stag do. I made contact and booked by email and checked they would accept us. They were very friendly and negotiated a group discount. The room was a small dorm style with bunk beds and shared ensuite bathroom. It was very basic but clean. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot....

I arrived on a Friday to Amsterdam, and for various reasons, I found I had no hotel reservation. I went to the Continental hotel, and thanks to receptionist (Feiz, I think that was the right way to write your name) I could have the problem solved. In addition, during the weekend Feiz provided me help in many other things and...

If you're looking for a "cutsie romantic getaway" this place is not for you. IF you're looking for a lads "pass out after the wonders of the dam!" this place is for you. I travelled with 4 other lads and stayed in a dorm like room. It was a tad small but we had a place to crash and shower...

This was by far the most central hotel we have ever stayed at. It was excellent for a weekend break which we took 23/07/16-25/07/16. The facilities were fine for just a break as there is so much naturally on the doorstep that we only slept and bathed here. My only concern would be for anyone with mobility issues as the...

The hotel is in a great location and the staff are very friendly, especially the lovely receptions called Stephanie. Do not expect to get a 5 star bedroom in a 1 star. The hotel is great for travellers and young people if you are not fussed about spacing.

Room was extremely small - featured an open sink and shower and the shared toilet was on the level below. The staircases are VERY steep which makes carrying luggage up and down a tricky process. The room + shared toilet were clean enough. The location of the hotel is great - close to Central Station and Dam Square. Overall, this...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
