Stayed here for 3 nights in the middle of April. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The location is really really good, right in the middle of everything with a tram just outside. The room was quite large for a city hotel. Interior of the room was in fine condition. Stylish very much like the rest of the hotel....

Owner was rude and very aggressive! Very horrible! Lost our booking and we thought we had no where to stay! We met one friend who he would not allow to enter the building for one hour. The breakfast is ridiculously poor, room was poor, stairs were a killer! Good location though!

Check in was quick & easy. We were put into room 41 was was on the third floor we did not have a problem with this however to get then into the room there was approx 10 very very narrow stairs which were extremely steep. Once getting into the room I found it difficult to get back down as I...

We were attracted by this traditional property as the name suggested an artistic theme! We were not therefore expecting all the luxuries of modern hotels, but the hotel does not seem to want to add any facilities that could be included without spoiling its heritage. We knew there would not be a lift and that properties like these have steep...

Central location to almost all there is to do in Amsterdam. Provided everything we required as a base for our stay. Bars, Cafes, resteraunts and shopping all right on your doorstep. Room was top of the hotel with a canal view...v steep stairs to the top. If stairs are not your thing you need to bear this in mind. Room...

Location is very central, a short walk from both central station and the Rijksmuseum in the other direction, with several tram stops immediately nearby and a busy shopping street behind. The rooms are basic but kept spotlessly clean, lots of hot water and clean towels, and surprisingly quiet for a hotel on a busy street. Breakfast is adequate, with as...

The only thing going for this hotel is location. There was no hot water one of the mornings I was there and the owner found it 'normal' that this should happen and unreasonable of me to expect this as a minimum requirement. He was very rude. I had work to do and needed the internet. The signal isn't strong enough...

Lovely quadruple canal view room. Building typical of Amsterdam, lots of stairs & very quaint. Lady & gentleman on reception could not have been more helpful - we had lots of questions! After a long fraught journey we had a warm welcome too. Despite its central location, our room on the top floor was amazingly quiet.

Hotel staff was shockingly rude to my daughter and my niece. A staffer at the front desk " for fifteen years" yelled at my niece for starting a conversation on the phone in the lobby. The reason she was making the call was that the wifi wasn't working. On the web site it says they have wifi. He also refused...

Just come back from Amsterdam, nice, comfortable and clean hotel. Our room was on the 3rd floor.....fine for us but no lift for people who may struggle. Our room was clean and comfortable, bathroom on the small side. No tea and coffee though (bring your own apparently) we didn't have much of a view......but weren't planning on spending our trip...

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
