Booked for three nights in June, 2017, left after one night. Booked a room for me, my wife, and adult daughter. The room was very cramped. The shower did not drain, overflowing onto the floor. The electrical outlet worked intermittently. There were no chairs. The...More

We are sorry you had a bad experience with us, and I apologize for returning less than you were due; I mistakenly assumed you paid the double price. However; guests are generally happy with the size of the room - I guarantee there are smaller...More

This incredibly charming and historic little hotel is located right on a canal, and it is in easy walking distance from the Centraal Station. We arrived on the early Thalys train from Paris and walked with our luggage. Even though it was still hours from...More

Thank you for your kind review of our humble hotel; we much appreciate hearing that all the staff's (and the blind poodle's!) efforts to make our guests feel welcome and comfortable have produced good results.

Room was noisy and hot ( in the attic). Room decor and bathroom facilities were poor. Curtains with holes, towels with holes, inadequate hanging space, windows that don't stay open or don't open fully. Not very welcoming.

The Brouwer Hotel has a rich history, with the building dating back to the 17th century. The current owner's grandfather bought the hotel in 1917, and this is its 100th year of ownership by the same family. Unfortunately, the building has been sold and the...More

The Brouwer hotel is a typical Amsterdam house turned into a cozy hotel in the city center. Don't expect a fancy room, it remains as the original house and it's pretty nice to see! The breakfast is served at the main floor and I would...More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring

Breakfast is 8:15 to 10:30 a.m. There is an ATM 2 blocks down the canal and around the corner, or as already mentioned, on the Dam Square, a 10 minute walk away.
