Very good, nice staff, very neat. Mattress was well used, but slept fine! Would go back, and would tell others to go. Easy to find from the main train station, or after a night out! And the price was right!

I was shocked to have a been lodged in a room that was mixed (male and female) with no prior information of this. The information on booking.com was no way close to what I met on ground in the property.

Rooms beds and bathroom were not clean, poor quality of the forniture. Shower was broken. The position is relatively near to the city centre and a bus stop is not far from the hotel. However cleaness should be really improved.

I couldn't travel to Amsterdam for personal reasons and they had no consideration in returning even a part of my money, they stayed with my 70 euros. Very inconsiderate I didn't get to know the hostel, I only have the bad impression of they not wanting to give back even a part of the money I paid for a service...

I booked a double room with it's own bathroom. The bathroom was small, but it was clean. The room was big enough and very confortable. The hotel is close to almost everything. We walked for 8 minutes to get to Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum. There are a lot of restaurants, pubs and stores near by.

Me and two of my friends were travelling to Amsterdam last week. First impression was very nice, receptionist was explaining about whole amsterdam's prons and crons also provinding travel information with map detail. Room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our staying at hotel Marnis.

Staff was very friendly and helpful when I arrived, the room was clean and had its own shower and towels provided. Location was good, near to the centre and loads of shops and food places just down the road. All together a great stay!

Me and my friends (All in our early 20's) stayed at hotel Marnix in April 2017 for spring break festival. We found the hotel to be in a great location, near nightclubs, coffee shops and good restaurants. The bathroom was clean and of good quality. The only bad points was the room could of been cleaned more and some guests...

You get what you pay for it was cheap and basic but it was all very clean, the staff were friendly and it was conveniently located in the city centre! Bit of a walk from the station but was easily doable!

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
