We've stayed at various B&Bs throughout the U.S. and Europe and our experience at Tulip of Amsterdam was the very best! In addition to the fantastic location and tunique accommodations, David and Chris were the most gracious hosts. They truly thought of every detail. From a warm welcome to the attentive daily check in's they were always available to answer...

Our stay at the Tulip was wonderful! From the second we got there, David offered us coffee (well needed) and then both David and Chris were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. The room was very cozy and had everything we could have needed. The breakfast was delicious, too.

What can I say that hasn't already been said on trip advisor. Both my wife and I stayed here 12 to 14 January. Central to everything and is a fine old house. Everything so well organized, hospitality 100%, we felt like home, or even better, like visiting grandma's house where there are always sweets and chocolates! I definately recommend to everybody visiting Amsterdam! It is very central, very clean, very warm. It has the 2 best...

Tuilp of Amsterdam is cool, intimate, brilliantly located B&B in the hearth of Amsterdam. Room was cozy and pleasant, you get to serve your own breakfast from fresh goodies in kitchen. All key amenities are in walking range. Chris and David were great hosts and were really trying to make our stay as pleasant as possible. All in all, great...

This review is long overdue and if it were any other place, I might not have bothered, but I had such a great stay at Tulip of Amsterdam that I wanted to make sure I spread the word. Every part of my experience was exceptional. David & Chris were wonderful - from the cheerful greeting when I booked the room...

The is b&b is so beautiful, really central and has loads of character. Our room is so nice, traditional, querky and everything you need is catered for, including hair dryer and straighteners! There's is nothing that is not provided. David was very welcoming, and even left a token in our room and a note to wish my boyfriend a happy...

Having stayed in Amsterdam over many visits, this was by far the best. Right in the middle of the city centre, everything was within easy reach. From the 10 minute walk from Central Station, to cafe's restaurants and general sighseeing. Stay was even more fun, as had a great Amsterdam experience in a typical dwelling, the Tulip BandB. David and...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
