Great location; 10 min walk to centre. Friendly staff. Clean and modern hotel with nice big room. Small friendly bar. They let us check in early for no extra cost. Next time in Amsterdam I will be staying here.

The room was in the basement so you had to go down the stairs (no elevator) Close to the room there are 2 bathrooms, so the hallway always stinks. If you are planning on staying here, make sure you get one of the upper rooms

The hotel is in a great location, situated in the centre of town, close to the red light district and walkable distance to the central train station with connections across Europe and to the airport. Very pleasant staff at the checkin and good decent breakfast. I was given a room at the very top floor, secluded from the hustle and...

Stayed here with a friend for 4 nights. Wifi throughout the hotel. Room was small but perfect for a short break, cleaned daily despite us leaving the room later on in the day and we received fresh towels every day. There was also a hair dryer in the bathroom and there were irons available to use from reception. Hotel is...

The hotel is literally wonderful, being renovated and modern. Also the breakfast is very good compared to other hotels. In fact close to everything in terms of hotel location. And far from that one. On the other hand you can walk to all the tourist attractions in Amsterdam. There is a market where you can get fresh fruit and you...

I'll start with the good; I've given two stars because the location was good, the shower pressure was excellent and the pastries for breakfast were nice. That's it. I stayed here for 4 nights. It was expensive; 150 per night. I was initially given a room on the ground floor (B03). It was clean and modern but it was directly...

Lovely hotel, a little pricey but within walking distance of centre of town so worth it in my opinion. Would of appreciated a little bit more choice at breakfast but it was all very nice. Very friendly and bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in!!!

Just home from our city break at Amsterdam and couldn't write a great review fast enough. As a first timer for visiting Amsterdam I wasn't sure what to expect but my expectations were exceeded. On arrival Wednesday our receptionist was bubbly and extremely helpful. Our room was spotless and cleaned each day to perfection, bed was so comfy and room...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
