Nice hotel. Rooms small but clean and fresh. Steep staircase to climb to get to room, or a tiny lift. Young and friendly staff. Walking distance from Railway/tram station. Nice area just on the outskirt of centrum. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. All in all. Recommended

What a pleasant surprise to find a three star hotel to be so customer friendly, comfortable and spotless. Our room overlooked the water which was beautiful. The best bed and pillows in many a long time and wonderful wet room shower. The complimentary breakfast was super fresh and plentiful. A great stay

The hotel is comfortable and clean, beds were comfy, breakfast was delicious, staff were very friendly. We couldn't fault our stay. Location is excellent and a short walk to Central Train and bus station. Three bus stops in the street which were great for bus trips to the fishing villages and windmills in the north. Excellent wifi. Only negative was...

We recently spent 3 days in this very friendly and comfortable hotel. It had to be the best bed and pillows I have slept in in s long while. Spotlessly clean and excellent service. The wonderful view over the water made a very pleasant stay, perfect..

I'm nit one for leaving negative reviews but this is a rare occasion where I feel I have to as I can usually look past all the minor negatives. Easy to find from central station, just a 10 minute walk. Nice looking reception area. Sort of funky smell through the corridors but we could look past this being in a...

Hotel is close to shops and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and the room was clean and spacious. The only thing that was negative about the hotel was the very...

Great location; 10 min walk to centre. Friendly staff. Clean and modern hotel with nice big room. Small friendly bar. They let us check in early for no extra cost. Next time in Amsterdam I will be staying here.

The room was in the basement so you had to go down the stairs (no elevator) Close to the room there are 2 bathrooms, so the hallway always stinks. If you are planning on staying here, make sure you get one of the upper rooms

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
