THE WORST place i've ever stayed. The owner cancels bookings, said we could only stay 2 nights instead of our 3. Had to change rooms between the nights. Rooms were horrible. $150 smoking fee. Terrible

The hotel is very well located in almost the center of Ámsterdam, it has breakfast included (or at least is my case it was) which is a buffet style , the only complain I have is related with the internet service (nowadays everyone wants to be conected (specially before going to bed)) and in the hotel this service is really...

I would avoid this place at costs!! The free breakfast is very basic we didn't attempt breakfast purely because the "hotel" cat has free rein of the hotel including the table where food was served and the sink! The rooms are very basic and need a lot of work doing...plaster board falling of the walls and plug sockets not attached...

I made the mistake of booking without checking reviews and needed to be somewhere central. From the moment I arrived and during my stay it was the most unpleasant experience ever! The owner was rude and basically told me to shut up when I questioned him during checking-in. There is a ridiculous policy of leaving a deposit of 150 Euros...

By far the worst hotel i ever been in Amsterdam, micro room, micro TV, very micro WC(with many problems) not cleaned in the 1st day, very poor breakfast, too much noise inside or outside the hotel. Manager not friendly. Be prepared to get 150!!! euros locked in your credit card because of some dumb and stupid rule which is quite...

A simple booking mis-communication ended up being one of the rudest experiences I've ever had, with the manager refusing to talk to me since we had paid with my boyfriend's credit card. I was told that because of that, I 'wasn't his guest'. The hotel was also incredibly filthy. We left for another hotel after the first night on a...

Generally a decent place to stay if you want to be really central, but the room was very small and not air conditioned so even in may with temperatures outside of 27C the room got too hot to sleep in. Also since the location is near the Amsterdam center there was a lot of noise, the level of which didn't...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
