Stayed here for a night with our children (as we could find nowhere else in Amsterdam) and couldn't believe how much we paid to stay in this horrible place. To start with the entrance steps were so steep we had trouble getting our bags in, the man at the reception was shouting at some of the guests as we entered...

I came to Amigo hotels having read the reviews and didn't think much of what i read. The steps are steep and the room are small but everyone was friendly and it was comfortable. It was fit for purpose for the trip but if you wanted luxury i wouldnt stay here.

"Amigo hostel" sounded like a chirpy friendly place... And I guess it is, it's just a shame they crammed so many people into a room! I was in a 10 bed dorm with all of the bunk beds touching, people put towels over the bottom bunks for privacy. Not impressed. 1 shower and 2 toilets to a corridor of about...

After disembarking the tram, we faced our luxurious palace known to us as "Amigo Budget", and let me tell you people of the Internet, what a budget it was. As we peered up the 30, nearly vertical and death-defying stairs we noticed a group of hoodlums blocking the way. Being the alpha male of the group this didn't phase me...

This is hands down the worst place I have stayed (although roommates told me they'd seen worse!). In summary: 1) There is no proper cooking area, apart from a microwave in the reception area, so you can't self cater. 2) The first thing that greets you upon walking to your room is the smell of the dirty toilets. There are...

Horrible. We paid for ten beds in one room. Two girls couldn't come. We asked if we could get back the money for the two. We couldn't. Was okay but tzey wanted to put two guys in our room because of the two free beds. Horrible service.

Am not really into this kind of hostels but i can say it's below average for two reasons: 1.The shared toilets / Showers are always dirty (No toilet paper / No soap) 2. The stairs are tight and broken The only thing that i liked was the location...
