Clean room with good shower room en-suite. A fridge in the room is a nice touch. Friendly 24hr reception. Great location and short walk to the free ferry which delivers you straight to central station. Small independent coffee shop two doors down and local stores close by to.

Stayed here for a few nights. First off the location is decent for the price, pretty much in the centre, once you get on the 24 hour free ferry, which goes every few minutes and is 5 minute walk from the hotel.

There is a really nice Indian restaurant a few doors down as well, along with a bar next door which had a pool table and a dart board, so if you didn't fancy going into the centre one night you would be accommodated for.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly, we also had a balcony which was a nice surprise, there was no complaints for the room in not getting what we had requested.

The only complaints would be that you could hear a lot of what else was going on in the hotel, especially as the doors slammed shut really loud (people banging around at 5 am, someone's alarm on their phone in another room going off for ages in the early hours of the morning, etc...)
In addition to this the bed sheets were not a nice material, they felt a bit like a coat, which wasn't great, nice normal bed sheets would be a good addition to the rooms and wouldn't be much to ask for even for the price. Although we didn't request a change so maybe we would have gotten something different if we had. Also there was a gap between the bottom of the door and the floor which allowed light to get into the room as the corridor light was on all night.

Overall for the price you can't go wrong, you won't find much else for cheaper with such a good location aside from hostels. And aside from issues I have mentioned the staff and the cleanliness were all perfectly fine, hence the 4 star review despite the hotel not being perfect. Would recommend for anyone travelling on a budget, but if you are expecting luxury this isn’t for you.

We stayed 4 nights and liked it very much! It was peaceful at night for a good sleep, the staff is friendly and willing to serve, the room was small but cozy and clean, it has a tv and hot water. It is easy to move to the city and back using the ferry and you get to taste part of the daily life in Amsterdam like this. Have to ask for the services yourself but we didn't mind because the price is very cheap. Next time we are back in Amsterdam we'll be staying here again!

We came across this hotel on booking.com and also LateRooms.com we chose to go with laterooms paying €360 cash for a five night stay, upon meeting the pleasant lady at the reception desk we happily hand over the €360 euros the lobby area was of pleasant decor and contained a shiny white piano which made us feel relaxed with our choice. The lady gave us our key and explained we were on the fourth floor, the stairs consisted of a planked spiral staircase with a door on each floor leading off to long narrow corridors with rooms each side. Ours was the fourth corridor and the very last room in the corner rafters of the roof. On entering the extremely small room ie. No storage what so ever! A mini bar which was actually an empty switched off fridge no tea or coffee making facilities at all And only twelve inches of space either side of a small double bed which for some unknown reason had the four legs situated in the middle position of each side of the bed rather than the four corners so when you sat on the bed it twisted and tilted and my wife fell to the floor. After deciding to give it a chance as we'd already paid we went in to the city for a brief walk,on returning at approximately 10pm upon entering the hotel we where approached by a very drunk lady of the night! sat at the tables outside, whom approached me, as I showed no interest she continued to full on laugh at me and my wife which was very disturbing to say the least we entered the hotel where there was something going on between a seriously drugged up you man and another lady,we went straight up to our room outside certain rooms along the corridors where mens shoes and alot of noise you would not want to hear. We went into our room and tried to lock the door but it would not lock from the inside so that was definitely the last straw and we decided to drag our four cases back down the wooden plank stairs. As I handed the key to the now gentleman receptionist I polity ask if there could be any refunds to a flat No! was his reply. I decided it wasn't worth aguing as we had clearly stumbled upon something beyond our minds grasp. We left the hotel promptly and then had to spend all night in the airport waiting to book the next flight home which cost considerable extra as our flights where not til Thursday 21st January so please all be WARNED Do not stay here!!!!! And don't do fall for its pleasant facade!!!!!

Stayed in this hotel with 9 friends for a stag doo from 16th-18th May.

Owner is very friendly
Rooms clean
Vending machine sells BEER
24HR Reception

No lift & lots of stairs
Situated next to a MOSQUE
In a predominantly muslim area
Fridge was clean but hardly worked
NO COAT HANGERS

Ferries run all night fron Noord to Central but still a pain to get to especially at night.
Cab is €20 to hotel fron Central.

All in all good hotel but wouldn't go back due to location.

If you dont mind being out the way a bit and having to walk through rural estates late at night this is the place for you.

Oh and a 500ml bottle of water is €2!! Go to the supermarket next door!

We booked a deal through Kayak with this being our hotel for the Easter Weekend. From arriving at Amsterdam Central Station we made our way over the water on the free Ferry. Straight away we were concerned as we were the only tourists going in this direction. We had to walk through a large housing estate, passing skate parks and generally totally out of the tourist area.

Finally finding our hotel (I'm afraid the entrance didn't shout luxury) we were checked in by a very friendly man and given our room key. We went to our room which is not to a standard I've stayed in since I was a kid on a cheap budget school holiday. Very tiny with two thin cupboards balanced in between the two windows. Our only side table was a fridge with the cord stretched up to just about reach a socket. The bed was shoved into the corner, above the bed were loads of holes hacked into the wall. It did look clean but incredibly basic, definitely not a 'Hotel' I was prepared to stay in for a holiday, More like a Hostel.

We left 5 minutes later and refused to return spending all day looking for new accommodation. Very very disappointed. I blame the travel company for offering this as a Hotel. I'm sure the accommodation is suitable for travelling individuals on a budget.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The room was just perfect for my boyfriend and I and we both loved the bathroom and the bathroom shower! It was soo big that both of us could fit in it together! lol. The beds were super comfy as well, I adored them!!! There were two single beds but we put them together to make one big bed and it was soo cute and soo much fun. We both had amazing sleeps. The nicest part of the stay however would have to have been the staff. They were very warm, welcoming and helpful and they even kept our hotel key for us when we went out during the day and at night so we didn't lose or misplace them and there was even someone at the desk at all times so coming home at night we felt safe and were always very kindly greeted. I must also say that I adored the location. The little free ferry that we took everyday to get to the main part of town was adorable and the hotel is not a far walk at all from the ferry. This was just the most perfect vacation ever and I will definitely be back!

Not recommend at all!!!
When we first entered our room it seemed ok, as soon as we lay down on the bed we could smell the bed sheets, they were so smelly. and even looked dirty.
After complaining at the reception they change us to another room. However, it wasn't any better! Bed sheets were in the same conditions...

Peoples previous reviews of this hotel made it a difficult choice if to stay or not. We went ahead anyway and it was fine! Its a budget hotel so dont expect anything too fancy but the rooms were clean and the staff very friendly and helpful! Location was great as you just get the free ferry 5 mins from hotel over to the city.

We literally wanted somewhere to crash at night after being out all day and the price and location of this was fab!

We never felt uncomfortable in the area and no one walking around the streets at night made us feel worried. People's perceptions of others in past reviews are somewhat assuming!
