This is the best B&B we ever stayed. Located close to Museums and just next to Vondel park. There are many restaurants and shopping stores around. The Garden is amazing and makes a great view outside the window. The room is well designed and comfortable. Charles made great apple pie and we received fresh croissants everyday. A kitchen full of...

Unforgetable place that offers you everything you might wish for and a bit more: great location - most of the main attractions are in a short walking distance with Vondelpark just in front of the door, apartment from a fairy tale, including a private tropical garden just for the two of you and absolutely great hosts, that made everything for...

Highly recommended!! Located in a central, fashionable area. Lots of museums, restaurants and more. In the apartment you will find everything you will ever need and more. The area is quite and relaxing, the Darren its self is one of a kind. A very comfortable and enjoyable stay! Like a 5 stars hotel.

We have travelled to Amsterdam many times. It was however our first time to stay at a B & B / apartment and we were very pleased with our selection in Garden Suites. Great location, the apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood, adjacent to the Vondelpark, very near to Museumplein and the busy Leidseplein. The apartment is very spacious,...

We enjoyed a week long stay in this elegant apartment with the best host one could hope to meet. If you are seeking a well appointed home away from home, this is the place. Clean, exquisitely furnished, informative host, beyond romantic!

This place honestly has to be one of the best and most comfortable places I've stayed in. If you are thinking of this apartment, don't think just book! You won't regret it! The cleanliness and attention to detail is second to none and the garden reminded me of a tropical paradise, to find that kind of thing in a city...

When I saw all the reviews gave a perfect rating I must admit I was sceptical. Well, here I am giving one more! The apartment was five star comfortable with a lovely garden and an outdoor (heated) hideaway that was enjoyable even in December! It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop yet it is located close to...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
