I have to admit that I was a bit sceptical to spending a couple of Nights in a boat in stead of a conventional hotel. We were a Group of 16 adult friends in the age 30-40 and the boat never felt crowded. The rooms size was ok, and if it feels to small you could allways spend some time...

I recently did a bike/barge trip. The Fiep is a fabulous barge, the varnish work is wonderous to behold, everything on the ship is shipshape. Hari, the Captain, can maneuver her through the tightest spaces in the locks, and dock in the smallest spots. Karen, the hostess, maintains a high standard of spotlessness and comfort. The cook served excellent meals,...

We booked a cycle and barge tour from Bruges to Amsterdam. The two guides. Thomas and Leia were outstanding but what also made this trip very special were the Fiep ( barge named after Captain Haree Sir's daughter) crew. The Captain was a delight and guided us safely through the waterways. He always greeted us at the end of the...

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Barge is nicely furnished and very comfortable. Rooms were cleaned each day so that when we returned after our bicycling, we walked into our rooms and could shower and clean up. Loved traveling this way. Best, though, were the captain and the staff. All superb. And the meals were out of this world good. Came in from...

recently my wife and I did a Bike a Barge trip with the Fiep. Captain Hari and crew were marvelous. In the winter months the Barge docks and can be used as a BnB. The boat is clean as can be and the spacious common rooms. The food we had was marvelous. I can't vouch for the winter breakfast but...

On our trip through holland biking around the tulips, we were extraordinarily lucky to get this boat and this crew as our boat....the cook is wonderful, breakfast and dinner was always superb and creative and despite a tiny kitchen, they prepared extraordinary food for vegetarians and others. Karen, the ship hostess was delightful, helpful, and efficient. Harry the captain runs...

My wife and I attended a beer cruise with Bon Beer Voyage from Amsterdam to Bruges. The Fiep was our home for a week, and it was wonderful! The captain ran a tight ship and oversaw every aspect our time aboard. The staff was so accommodating. My wife caught a bad cold and had to stay on board for two...

I've stayed in some great places in Amsterdam. And some less so great....but always worked on the basis that all you need from your digs is a place to crash. Fiep made me think again. I love Amsterdam to bits and have been coming for 30 years, but Fiep has become almost the reason to visit Amsterdam. Almost - well,...

We stayed at this location because we wanted something different for my birthday weekend away. The trip went perfectly from start to finish. Cheap Easyjet flights to Schipol then easy train ride to Amsterdam central station then only a ten minute walk to the boat. Easy peasy! Anyway what can I say we were greeted by Karin when we arrived...
