Hotel's Favourite
This was a very nice place to stay although on reflection, if we were closer to the central city, it could be better. The Arena train station is right across from the hotel which is nice but having to take the train every day into the central city and back again became a little tiresome. Other than that, it was perfect. Very nice clean hotel, wonderful breakfast and friendly workers. Nana and Dina at the front desk were so pleasant and helpful as well as Raza who helped us with our waffle making skills at breakfast. We visited in May 2022 and the rates were fair. In fact, after traveling to London and Brugges Belgium, we realized the Amsterdam Arena's rates were the best.

I previously had a good experience coming to this hotel and gave it a 5 star review. I now came back to this hotel with a friend and have to say I am disappointed. We were going to a concert and queueing early would help us get a better view. We called the hotel to ask if we could check in earlier, the employee told us our rooms were available and to come on over. Once we arrived at the hotel, we got checked in by a different employee. She was going to start lecturing us about checking in too early, but we interrupted her by saying we called in beforehand, which her colleague next to her confirmed. She then informed her colleague checking in early comes with a fee of 20 euros per room and charged us accordingly. She then checked us in for one room (we had booked two) while she had the information right in front of her. Other than this, my room was very cold and the toilet paper was single layer, which is a cheap look for a fairly pricey hotel. Treating the customer a little bit better would go a long way.

Don’t understand the hype around this hotel. There are zero amenities in the room. No small refrigerator, beds are hard, no electrical outlet in the bathroom to blow dry hair and no USB outlets to charge your phone. The walls are paper thin, our neighbors woke us up at the crack of dawn and we could hear their entire conversation while they used the blow dryer and banged their luggage around. There are so many other places to stay, I would only stay here for one or two nights specifically for an event at the arena or dome. It’s just not worth the $$$

The beds were not comfortable, no refrigeration in the room, no USB outlets, No electric outlet in the bathroom to dry or style your hair. While this hotel would suffice for an event at the arena or Ziggo dome, I don’t recommend for more than 2 nights. It is literally right across the street from the Area train station, it takes about 20 minutes to get to the city center. There are much better equipped hotels in the same price range closer to city center. Check out Elements Amsterdam by Marriott

Stayed here for 4 nights when there wasn’t anything on at the Arena and found the hotel met my needs. The Staff were all really friendly and helpful. I’ve seen reviews complaining about the breakfast but I found it adequate. The star of the hotel though is the location. Bijlmer Arena station is right across the street providing easy access to NS trains and the metro. Combined with the Amsterdam Regional Card we never thought twice about going anywhere. The one downside of the hotel is our room could have been a tad cleaner but all in all it was a nice stay.

There is no Dresser in the room, or any location to store my cloths except the 6 hangers. My Socks and T-shirts and other cloths were in my suitcase for the ~10 days I was at the hotel and this was not too nice. I asked if the dresser was missing/broken and why it was not there and they told me I should store my cloths in the bathroom in the super small (4 inch by 4 inch ) towel cubby which seemed rather odd. The remote control on the TV didnt work very well and was a bit painful to watch and the remote was old and the button did not work unless you pressed then multiple times. The hotel was very clean and the housekeeping team did a good job. The breakfast bar was always lacking on the fruit. Each day I went it was empty. Special thanks to Angelyn and Jackielyn for their support. I liked the location to the train station.
