It's not easy to book for one night in Amsterdam on a weekend. I booked a single room for £155 and was allocated what can only be described as a prison cell.A tiny room with a single bed with a window looking into a dark shaft in the centre of the building. There is no way that I could have...

This hotel is very well located just across from the station and walking distance to all the main attractions. We've stayed here before and hence chose to return. This time our room was slightly bigger than last time which was a nice suprise, although being an Ibis Styles it was still small and the bathroom completely impractical (which you'll find...

I stayed here with my daughter in June 2015. A great location with walking distance from railway. Especially when coming in from international airport. Also great access to canal cruises, trams and the hop on hop off bus Room was a bit small but as we were only sleeping that was fine. We had no view to street. Bathroom shower...

My and my partner stayed here for three nights whilst on a city break around Amsterdam. The hotel was a great price however you get what you pay for. Room was tiny! As you walk in you trip over your bed, wardrobe is an open hole in the wall with a rail for three hangers and then a toilet stuck...

Central station always makes me feel good coming into Amsterdam, Holland. It's latex out well with money exchange machines , lots of maps for your travels and a manned information counter . Plus if you need to ask about a point of interest while coming into the area around Amsterdam or traveling way outside . Next time I am going...

Great location, staff helpful and friendly on arrival, bags checked into luggage room at 10am and told to pop back at 12 and room would be ready. Clean room comfortable beds. Breakfast was included and offered a good range to choose from. Would stay again

Everything we have come to expect from Ibis group hotels. Clean, comfortable and helpful staff. Breakfast included and was generally good. Pandering to Brits with bacon, (chicken) sausage, beans and egg I can manage without if not done well, which it wasn't. We would be perfectly happy to eat as the locals would. Overall a good experience and one we...

Very expensive for what you get, though saying that, that's exactly what you get in central Amsterdam. Rooms are small but clean. I found staff friendly and breakfast ok, nothing special but enough to set me up for the day.

The best thing about this hotel is its location..which is very central and very near to railway station. In case you opt for excursions in and outside Amsterdam, it would also be very convenient for you in terms of pick n drop by various travel companies, also great proximity to various restaurants. Hotel Staff is good. Few cons are ....very...

The best thing about the ibis Styles Amsterdam Central Station was the location (as you can tell by the name of the hotel, it is, indeed, VERY close to Central Station). Staying at this hotel enabled us to avoid taking taxis and solely rely on the train to and from Schiphol. We also took the subway to get to and...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
