Very good. Hotel. Stayed 2 nights. Upgraded to top floor for 15 euro per night. Worth it for the view. Close to all the major museums. Good if not over exciting breakfast with good choice. Hotel a little tired in places but overall pleasant. Would happily go back again.

This hotel is well situated within walking distance of restaurants and museums. The rooms are spacious and comfortable by European standards. The staff was lovely and the breakfast was nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Very good location, The breakfast was very good. Regarding the hotel staff, they were all very kind. The rooms were big. Less than 5 min walking to the Museums (Van Gogh, Rijh, etc) and tranports. i'll recomend it!

Only good thing was the location. Rooms were not properly cleaned and if you don't upgrade to a more expensive room, you will not have a coffee maker in your room. What you will get is instant coffee packages barely enough for 1 person and a water kettle. Breakfast buffet is not worth the price, very little variety and constantly...

A short break in Amsterdam - this hotel was in a really good location if you like walking (which we do). The Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum are nearby. The hotel feels quite without character, very functional - more like a budget Travelodge type place - but then you don't come to Amsterdam to hang around your hotel, we were...

We stayed two nights at NH Amsterdam Museum Quarters. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodated our minor requests. The instruction for wifi and other facilities are clearly and patiently given. Hotel room itself is on the top floor, with a gently curved glass roof and window facing the canal. The room is spacious and bright, beds are firm and comfortable....

Stayed here for a long weekend. Excellent location in the Museum Quarter, close to the city centre and tram stop but far enough out that it isn't too hectic! The area surrounding the hotel is nice and quiet but there are plenty of bars and places to eat close by. The rooms were clean and staff very pleasant. The perfect...

At arrrival there was an intern at the reception who did not realy know what she was doing. It took a very long time to check in. There were holes in the curtains, mould in the bathroom, the toilet dit not flush properly and the airco/heating system did not work. I spoke to the reception about the problems and they...

This is a boring business hotel about 10-15 minutes' walk from the Rijksmuseum. The essentials are there: sound-proofed, spacious rooms with heavy curtains, good beds, good room service, and the extras that you expect from this level of hotel. But the emphasis is on utility rather than beauty, and it has seen better days/needs a coat of paint/change of bathrooms....

Spent a long week end to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary hotel could not be more helpful Due to building an underground car park in the canal you have a little more to walk to get a tram. There are a few shops and bars in the area, and Albert crypt market is just down the road

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
