The Holiday Inn Amsterdam - Arena Towers, an IHG hotel, garners praise for its comfortable and capacious accommodations, as well as its strategic location near transport links and event venues. While the hotel's offerings like the round-the-clock shop are appreciated, guests have mentioned a need for a greater variety of food and have cautioned about steep parking charges.
The service stands out, with commendations for the staff's efficiency and friendliness. However, opinions on cleanliness and the atmosphere diverge, with some finding the rooms immaculate and others encountering irregular housekeeping, and the ambiance at times perceived as nondescript.

Hotel's Favourite
Ideal location to transport for access to city and other areas. Very clean and bed and pillows were so comfortable. Sound proof windows were a good idea as football stadium and music concert were close by so got very busy. We were not disturbed by any noise.
Buffet selection for breakfast was spot on.
I would use again.

The Arena Towers (Holiday Inn second floor) is in an excellent location for all the local arenas, football stadium and exhibition centers. The local Metro M54 line will have you in the center of Amsterdam in 15 mins at a cost of 3.50 euro (single).
The staff were friendly and very helpful and the buffet style breakfast was good. (we did not need to upgrade to the more expensive 15 euro breakfast).
We will certainly stay here again.

Its a good hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, I was expecting a highfloor but I got only 3rd so I asked maybe if they can help me to be in a higher but then I was moved in the 6th in a very friendly manner. I had a great stay very comfy bed. very clean room, with big bath room. It is Located outside the city center but its near the Metro and train station that will take atleast 10+- minutes to the central station . The only problem that I encountered was the phone doesnt work to connect to the reception.

I made a reservation for my son and his girlfriend, who studies in The Netherlands, to stay here as he was going to a concert nearby. The webpage stated he had to bring the credit card with which the reservation was made. He is on my credit card, so no problem. Nothing else was required as far as I could see. My son showed up at the hotel and was refused to go to the paid room even though he had the credit card and his US drivers license. As this was not an official ID according to the manager, he was not allowed to go to the room and because it was after 12PM, the room charge was non-refundable. My son called me (I live in Las Vegas) and I talked to the manager. He was condescending and although I told him I could email him a picture of my son’s passport, he refused to let him enter the hotel/hotelraam. Eventually he said he would make an exception and refund the money. I ended up made a reservation for them with the Bastion Hotel near Schiphol. They had no problem with him having only a drivers license and the creditcard with which I paid. Of course the manager did NOT refund the money and I have opened a dispute with the creditcard company.

Stayed here overnight after a concert at the arena and so glad we did.
Got there super early so hopped on a train to Amsterdam for a few hours. Train and metro is 5 mins walk from hotel and takes about 15 mins.
Some nice bars and cafes on doorstep but hotel also has a Starbucks and food.
Rooms really clean with a safe and huge shower. Cheap and secure carpark on site and the whole complex feels really safe and secure.
Can't fault it at all and will definitely be back

I enjoyed my business stay at the holiday inn. Close enough to the train station, and soccer arena. Breakfast was good every morning and dinner there was also great. The bartenders Natalia and Katarina were there most of the nights I stayed, very easy to talk to, knowledgeable about the drinks, food, and gave us some good advice about tourist things to do. They made our stay that more enjoyable. Gregory and Heidi were also two other people that made an impression on us. Very nice people, work with a smile on their face, love to see that. I would definitely stay here again. If you are a soccer fan I do recommend paying for the Johan cryuff tour or better yet catching a game there. Unfortunately there were no games in the short time I stayed there. It was a 5 min walk to the arena

Due to Covid not many guests. Restaurant and bar closed, doggy bag for breakfast. I get it and then again I don‘t. Is a bit chicken and the egg story. No full service offering as there are limited guests, then again these guests will never return if this is the service offered. ... a bit sad really. Rooms remain nice (but pillows made of concrete it seems). The price was steep for what you got in the end....

My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Arena Towers on 5 to 12 July 2022. This hotel is well placed for Airport connection (2nd stop and regular) as well as for the metro. The hotel has a basic gym' and plenty of areas to sit down and relax. The reception staff are friendly and helpful, the 2 barmen/waiters on the 1st floor restaurant/bar are by far the most efficient, friendliest and generally decent hotel staff I have come across in many years. They made the hotel extra special. I did notice the cost of the room was very high one night and found out that the Rolling Stones were playing at the nearly Ajax stadium. I would however definitely recommend the hotel and hope to return soon as, coming from the Western Isles of Scotland, there are good KLM services direct from Inverness airport. Highly recommended.

Our stay at Holiday Inn Arena Tower was comfortable and convenient. Located 11 kilometers from the city center, it offers a more affordable option with a quick 15-minute train ride to Amsterdam Centraal.
Upon arrival, although we didn't receive the originally booked family rooms, the staff kindly provided us with two double rooms and even included chocolates, which we appreciated. They also facilitated an early check-in, which was a great gesture.
One standout feature was the spacious room size, which exceeded what is typically available in city center hotels. This added to our comfort during our stay.
We did encounter a bit of confusion regarding the coffee maker and tea on the ground floor. Given our frequent travels and experiences in Japan, where amenities and food supplies are often available to guests in lobby areas, we assumed the same arrangement here. However, the staff clarified that these items were intended solely for them. While they allowed us to take some, it was a bit embarrassing. Clear signage or better communication would prevent such misunderstandings in the future.
Overall, our experience at Holiday Inn Arena Tower was positive, offering comfortable accommodation with larger rooms than typically found in the city center. We would recommend it for travelers seeking a convenient stay near Amsterdam.

Very happy with my experience here. Had a workshop delivery in a nearby office. A great, convenient hotel. An amazing welcome awaited me upon check in. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Nice upgrade to and executive room. Very spacious and comfortable. Managed to do a workout in the room with plenty of room to love about. Breakfast was very busy in the morning, but there was masses of space and the staff were very efficient in clearing stuff and replenishing the offerings. Good selection! Parking is a tad pricey, but guess the proximity to the football stadium drives this?
Would undoubtedly stay again!!
