Staying on the Prinsen Boat made our visit to Amsterdam unforgettable. Our first day, Saturday, the weather was very warm and sunny. There was a parade of boats on the canal that we watched right from our windows. It was so relaxing at the end of each day to sit with a glass of wine or beer and toast the...

We stayed on the Prinsen Boat from Sept. 20-23, 2012. The houseboat had all the comforts of home and is in a perfect location. Although we purchased a 3-day transportation ticket when arriving at Centraal Station, we ended up only taking the tram once to get from Centraal Station to the boat. An easy ride on Tram 4 about 5...

We had a fabulous time on the boat. The children loved the experience of being on the boat, waving to other boats and feeding the ducks out of the window. The boat was quiet at night and everyone slept very well. Peter was very welcoming and was flexible about check out time as no other guests were booked in- this...

I wanted to find a special gift for my husband’s birthday and the Prinsen boat really fit the bill. After a long search for a “ wonen boat ”in Amsterdam, the Prinsen boat really stands out in its category. It is unique! Not only the decoration – which has a nice Mediterranean touch, but the location and the tidiness make...

My long distance boyfriend and I were meeting up in Amsterdam, and we wanted to stay somewhere unique. The boat itself was amazing...Good location, close enough to everything but still not a terribly busy street. The bed was fantastic, the kitchen was nice, it had everything you would need for a nice, relaxing stay. The owner was very nice and...

We stayed on the Prinsenboat for five nights with our two children, ages 4 and 6. The houseboat was exceptionally located, very spacious, well equipped and great value. We could explore Amsterdam from this central locale, well supplied with a supermarket around the corner and trams 50m away. The kids loved feeding the ducks, and got a kick out of...

We were hoping our decision to choose a houseboat instead of an apartment overlooking a canal would be the right one, and it was! Peter was waiting for us on our arrival at the houseboat, despite the fact we had been delayed for more than an hour in getting there. He made us feel comfortable from the outset. We arrived...

For the four of us, it was the first time we stayed on a houseboat. And we enjoyed it very much. No sea-sickness, we slept like babies ! The boat is very nice arranged and the kitchen well-equipped. The couch is too small to two adults sleep on, but it would be enough for two children. The king-size-bed is a...
