Our hosts, Rudi and Pia, were helpful, courteous, and provided for our every need. They're the best! Breakfasts were left outside our door and were a feast of breads, eggs, meats, and sweets. The refrigerator...

This was my first time to Amsterdam. I checked on Trip Advisor for a place to stay. The Palace B&B was highly rated, so my friend and I stayed. I had the suite on the first floor and she had the suite on the second floor. The location was perfect for everything we had on our "to do" list. Rudy...

This was my third time to Amsterdam but my first time at Palace B&B. We loved it! Rudy is so nice and hospitable. Every morning you have a lovely brown sack of treats on your door filled with croissants, breads, etc to enjoy. This was so fun and we really looked forward to discovering what would be in the breakfast...

Location of the B&B is excellent. Easy walking distance to most of the sights. Located only a couple blocks from Dam Square with most of the other sights within 10-15 minute walk. Also lots of bars and restaurants close by. The room was a decent size with anything that you would need. Everything was clean and well organized. There is...

After numerous times I've been to Amsterdam for work and stayed at hotels (including the best ones !) I've decided to try the B&B option we always prefer with family vacations... one definite conclusion ? I really regret not doing that before !... Amsterdam is not a big city, choosing the right location would allow you to explore the city...

You'll find this a great location to explore Amsterdam. It is centrally located and we walked everywhere. I think this is the best way to get a feel for the city. We were there for 4 nights and appreciated that we could get and go and not try to figure out which bus to get on. We were in the...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
