These apartments were wonderful! Nice and spacious and it was great to have a kitchen. Perfect location for the museums but a it's a bit further if you're going to the city centre (about a 30-40 minute walk). There were no laundry facilities but we found a nearby laundromat which was very cheap. Would definitely stay here again!

The location of these apartments is great, very near the Concertgebouw and the Museums, and only a few tram stops from the train station. I stayed twice, the first time on the second floor and the second time in a basement room. While the upper floor was better, both rooms were spacious, comfortabe and well equipped, with some nice details,...

The room was a little smaller than we expected, the welcome is almost unexisting, very cold way to welcome guests by not even showing up in person. They didn't have pints. The room was well kept and clean though, nothing to complain about on that side! and the place is very close to the center too.

Had to do a last minute trip to Amsterdam and needed a place to stay. This fit the bill and was reasonable considering that there is a convention going on. There are a few things you need to know, first that a double is two beds touching each other. Next, there is no reception, you hit the intercom, they let...

The suite that I had was on the 3rd floor and had a very nice view of the courtyard that is between the neighboring buildings. The suite was clean and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and provided a good nights rest. There is a nice little kitchenette area compete with small fridge, stove top, dishwasher. Some dishes are provided...

We stayed in a studio during our trip. The studio was absolutely perfect. It was furbished with everyone one would need. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the location perfect. We managed to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The 197 bus stop is very close to the apartment (about 250m away), which makes for an easy commute...

Really lovely apartment in a quiet street but very close to museumplein, concertgebow and transport. The airport bus(197) is one block away and there's a grocery store round the corner as well as plenty of cafes. The apartments are not attended but checkin was easy and everything was provided for incl a number to call if any problems (there weren't...

Having never visited Amsterdam before my partner and I wanted to stay somewhere relatively quiet but not a million miles away from the city centre and these apartments provided the perfect compromise! Nova Apartments are located in a very residential area close to the museum district of town so the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum are a 5 minute walk...

The apartment was well appointed with all the amenities. It is located in the Museum quarter, so if you want the party scene this is not the place for you. It is a short walk to the 97 bus which is direct to Schipol airport. It is also a easy to grab the tram to Liedensplien , which is party...

Very near Museum square and 5 minutes from the tram stop. Laundries are about 10-20 minutes walk. Bikes can be hired form a couple of places nearby. Facilities are good and the street is quiet. We will go back there.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
