I stayed here in August and really liked it. We had a room on the top floor and loved it. It was clean and the ensuite was of a good standard. I should warn those staying on the top floor that the stairs are very narrow but this is not unusual for a property of this type in Amsterdam. I...

Martina the Restaurant lady was very helpful, very polite! The food is good and service is excellent. Nothing I can comment, but this Hotel is super clean and very cozy feeling! 5 Minutes walk to Centraal Station and very near to Tourist attraction! Nearby Groceries stores and market. Very quiet!

Booked twin and triple rooms Saturday to Tuesday. Hotel rooms spotlessly clean and good shower in ensuite wet room. Fresh white linen and towels. Breakfast good value and tasty. Excellent location. Staff exceptionally friendly. Small storage area to leave cases after checking out which was much appreciated as we had an evening return flight. Stairs very steep however this seems...

We stayed 3 nights. Paid for medium sized room, it was small and no dressers or tables to put things on. Clean, but torn sheets and towels, Paid extra for breakfast. It was good with European style cold cuts, cheese, bread, coffee, juice. Many narrow steps to climb. Difficult with luggage. No a/c. Priced accordingly I guess compared to other...

Good welcome and friendly staff. Room was clean and smart on first look, but bed linen had a lot of dubious stains, and bathroom had a very unpleasant smell. Due to the 'historic' single glazed windows and the busy road by the side, I got no sleep in the two nights I was here. Plus floor boards in lobby connected...

I liked Hotel Teun. It is a good location with a restaurant and bar on the first floor. The room itself is small but clean. The bathroom was also tiny but nice. The TV had cable with quite a few English channels. My biggest complaint was the cleaning service. They did a great job but when we arrived around 2...

I don't want to be too critical of this hotel as I knew what it was before I booked but there are a few points that annoyed me. It was very hot in the room so we opened both the windows.....only problem was that you could only secure one open with a metal peg shoved in a hole in the...

Stayed here weekend of 7th Aug for 3 nights. Great location and only 10 min walk from the train station, so easy to get too also. The staff were really helpful and full of knowledge about the area, this was my third trip to Dam but never stayed in this neighbourhood. Some of the reviews have mentioned how small the...

This hotel is good for the price in central Amsterdam. Its a bit of a walk from central station so if you have large luggage try to convince a cab to drive you (they will try telling you its not a far walk but that's only because the one-way streets makes it hard for them to get back to central...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
