I had a three night stay at the Wooden Mill. The location was very convenient for trams and buses. I arrived on bus from airport, and even tired and jet lagged, the house a short walk from stop and was easy to find following Joop's directions. Joop was a very helpful host. I was able to leave my luggage there...

I spent 3 nights in the garden apartment and was very pleased with it. Convenient for the trams or buses into the city centre. There is a Jumbo Supermarket just along the street and around the corner for those who want to self-cater and a Showarma Kebab at the end of the street. Italian restaurant also just around the corner.

We've just returned from a two night stay at the Wooden Mill. Without doubt, the owner Joop is a very pleasant, accommodating man who was flexible with our arrival time and was cheerful in his nature. There are many positives about the accommodation and the apartment is located in a very pleasant area. However, it felt as though we were...

Given it 4/5 stars based on value mostly. Stayed here with 3 mates on a reunion weekend. Could probably do with a lick of paint and some modernisation. The apartment consists of a large double/triple/quadruple bedroom (depending on no. of guests), a kitchen area and bathroom. It also has a balcony. It is what it is, a cheap apartment for...

My partner and I were stopping in Amsterdam for four nights, and as it was a last minute trip, just booked whatever was available. At such a reasonable price, we found ourselves in a spotless apartment, with gorgeous double doors out onto the garden. The kitchen had everything we needed, and it meant we really felt at home. The location...

It was the location that set it apart everything was within a 5 minute walk, transit restaurants bars shopping and supermarkets. We fell in love with Amsterdam...

My husband and daughter stayed at the Wooden Mill recently and Joop was the consummate host. They felt they were in a safe and welcoming environment. Joop helped direct them to good cafes and with directions around Amsterdam. Thank-you, Joop!

My friend and I visited Amsterdam for a long weekend away, we stayed in Wooden Mill and were warmly welcomed by Joop who is a very charming and helpful man. He answered all of our questions and provided us with maps marked with locations. The accommodation was clean, convenient, affordable and generally had an amazing authentic Amsterdam vibe. Better than...
