The hotel experience was the highlight of our trip. A roller coaster ride where we encountered a terrible cancellation at another hotel as Wapen van Enkhuizen greeted us with kindness from the minute we entered their premises. Very personal service and hospitality. Nice/spacious familly room and a solid breakfast. The hotel is located in the town center in easy walking distance to the waterfront, the low profile attractions, nice restaurants and the railway station which provide for a convinient and frequent commute to/from Amsterdam Central Station. We had to cut the visit short due to unfortunate personal reasons thus checking out with no notice at 8 pm, as they only charged us for half a day with no chance of recovering the remainder of the day but also the next day which was a part of the initial booking. Besides that they provided a dinner box in 5 minutes. Outstanding and free of charge! I travel 150 days a year but this is my first review as I wanted to recommend this place because of the unique personal touch. Thank you and I look forward to come back!

Room was comfortable, and breakfast was good. Priced around €70 B&B good value. Friendly helpful staff. Nice beers. Enkhuizen great town on the western side of the Ijsselmeer. Good bars and eating houses along the harbour front.

Know that European hotel culture is different from US motel culture. Historic buildings are not going to have elevators and lots of sockets. Bring your open mind and enjoy the positives: great breakfast, great beer bar, wine and nice people. Besides, you want to be out of the room enjoying this great city.

We needed a cheap, clean etc. Hotel in Enkhuizen with a family room. This ticked all those boxes. It's close to the centre of town and has parking right out front. Watch out that you don't park in the permit holder's places by mistake!

Enkhuizen is a very town decorated with nice maritime and cobbled streets. I didn't know much about this town until my friends invited me to stay at their place. I was surprised by the beauty and serenity of this small city. A 2 hours walk in the city gave me a beautiful experience of european culture and architecture.
