Nice little hotel situated on the Ijssel. The view from our room was over the Ijssel and Deventer. The location makes it a very peaceful hotel, as there is no road near, so no traffic noise. Parking is not a problem, large parking lot which is very cheap, and there is an adjoining field where you can park for free.

Room quite spacious. Had a lovely sleep in a comfortable bed. Coffee and tea making facilities available. Bathroom is very modern, with shower, toilet and wash basin, which is a very modern design, not the most practical though.

Breakfast was served at the table with rolls, croissants, cheese, meat, jam, fruit, yoghurt and eggs to order, coffee and tea. We did find the price (€25,-) very high.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. We rented bikes from reception and when we checked out we got a little bag with some bottled water and sweets and a lovely card thanking us for our stay.

Getting to the city centre is very easy, even though the hotel is on the other side of the Ijssel. There is a little ferry right next to the hotel which takes you to the other side in just a couple of minutes and which runs from 8am till 11pm.

We have rarely been in a hotel where really everyone was that friendly, accommodating, and professional. We were upgraded to a wonderful suite with four windows overlooking the river (the IJssel) with a good view of the city and the little ferry. The room was spotless and with every amenity a traveler needs. The decorations, like in other hotels of this small chain were very tasteful, relaxing, and original. We had booked their Valentine's day special, which included 5-course dinner. The service in the restaurant was really impressive. The gérant was informative without blanketing us with the smallest details of the dishes. A small detail: while I had to excuse myself for a minute, the waiter neatly refolded my napkin. The kitchen had taken good care of our dietary wishes and produced wonderfully delicate and tasty dishes. They were original without the convoluted concoctions that some star aspiring restaurants think they need to serve. While we rarely take such a large menu, the portions were just right to make us feel comfortable. The use of local greens in refreshing combinations was a taste sensation ... as was the cheese trolley with a superb selection of Dutch cheeses.

Got AC and is the perfect location on the river where the ferry to Deventer continuously travels the 2 minute journey back and forth. Dinner is very reasonably priced and the food was fantastic- try the restaurant the first night and you may give the city a miss on the 2nd night. Breakfast outdoors on the river is not to be missed. Service was exceptional and everyone was friendly and supportive

We truely enjoyed this lovely and luxury hotel in Deventer. The location is very convenient, and the small ferry takes you within e few minutes to the city center of Deventer. Views from the hotel are great.
Hotel offers breakfast and luxury dinner as room service, both of excellent quality. Would definitely recommmend!

Breakfast was served at the table in our room because of COVID-lockdown. Then we have room service for Breakfast and Dinner. We had a 3-course chef's menu. All are so nice and delicious.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got nice chocolate and a lovely card for the welcome and thanking us for our stay.

1 thing I think I don't like is I can't connect TV to my Netflix :( by the way, I will be back there again if I have a chance :)

I stayed here for two nights in April 2024, for work.

The hotel is beautifully located right next to the river, with wonderful views across to the town.

The bedroom was spacious, the bathroom was simple and perfectly clean. The underfloor heating was a nice touch. A very good quality mattress and really great pillows made it a comfortable stay.

The staff in the hotel helped to make this one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had (and I’ve stayed in hundreds over the years). The first night we didn’t arrive until after midnight but the welcome was still warm and helpful. Breakfast was served in a different place from usual while their restaurant is being refurbished but it was all faultless.

The next day we were unexpectedly back in the area so chose to stay again. There was a handwritten “welcome back” message in the room alongside the complimentary chocolates. On arrival they gave us a list of recommended local restaurants, checked to see if we could make a reservation at the time we needed, and booked the table for us.

All in all, this place is a gem and a wonderful find. The team create a welcoming atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble. I’ll definitely be back, this time with my wife, for some rest and relaxation. I’m looking forward to it already!

Breakfast was good.
Small room and tiny bathroom for the price! The bathroom has a big design flaw: you cannot put your head over the sink because there is a shelf above the sink which makes it rather difficult to use; blocking access. The fridge has been put into the closet which has the result that the door does not close properly and the closet light is on all night apart from being annoying it is not very energy efficient. No private parking...the public parking lot needs to be shared with the adjacent camping ground! No free water in the room. The wifi was diabolical something I have not seen for 15 or 20 years or so when hotels first started to offer wifi which was extremely slow.

Apart from some ants in the bathroom and on my nightstand we had a wonderfull stay at this hotel. From this hotel you have a great view of Deventer at night. Wooow! Welcoming us was also very warm and they took the time to explain everything, not at the desk but in.a quiet place in the restaurant. The rooms and bathroom are very modern. Breakfast is not a buffet but a la carte and you can choose from a selection of items as many as you like including drinks.
The ferry to bring you across the Ijssel is just around the corner and no waiting time. It's a nice way to enter the center of Deventer.

Just 2 things I would like to mention in this review:
* When booking the website mentions that you can have a room with ijssel view. So when booking we mentioned that in the comment section. Day later we received the actual bill for the ijssel view room (€35 extra per room per night).
* You receive a few ferry tickets, we thought they were free, but when checking out they were added to the bill. It's not a lot of money, but you have to be clear about that upfront.

The reception is very uncomplicated and extremely nice. The rooms are good, the bed quality excellent. It is very quiet and the distances are short.
On weekends there is "only" a surprise menu, where the quantity can be selected, but it is brought to the plate nicely and tasty.
The view of the Issel and old town Deventer from the terrace and winter garden is wonderful.
At the back you look into a park.
Breakfast is brought to the table and is ok. However, I ordered milk for my coffee three times and it did not arrive. Due to the single cup preparation, it also takes quite a while to get your coffee when reordering.
What was not so nice: The faucet at the sink is so low that you can hardly wash your hands. In addition, the water drained very poorly, so the sink quickly filled up with the old water.
The shower is in the bathtub. However, the tub is so high that older light should have problems getting in and out.
Overall a very nice stay.

The hotel is located just a passenger ferry away from the city center, therefor it is quiet, but in 5 minutes you are on the other side of the river IJssel, in the beautiful and typical historical center of Deventer.
Rooms and amenities are great! Bike rental easy and trip suggestions included. A delicious dinner at night. We had wonderful two days at your hotel und my mother und my sister were as delighted as myself! It was well worth the trip from Cologne, and also well worth the price.
