We stayed for an evening to explore Giethoorn along our road trip through the Netherlands. Our room was relatively small, but provided enough space and included a Waldo out patio. Dinner was included with the price of our room and was very nice. The hotel is conveniently located by the main parking area and about a 10-15 minute walk to the main canals of Giethoorn. Overall, the price and all features was a great value; probably one of the better values we found in the Netherlands!

The lady who served breakfast was cold, impatient and arrogant. Not helpful at all. The toilet in the room is dirty, the brush for the toilet had disgusting yellow liquid, it almost made us throw up. We think it was never cleaned.

This hotel is very comfortable and has a nice view for its range of price if you got the room faxing the canal. It also close to giethorn shop and facilities. The rooms comea with jakuzi, very nice. It has no lif, bit only one floor up if you got the above room. No issue for ground floor

The location was perfect as we were only there for 1 night. Parking lot was very close and free. Hotel faced the main canal where boats could be rented. No elevator in hotel but there was only 1 flight of stairs to climb. Room was fine. Bed was not very comfortable, and seemed narrower than a traditional twin size. Our room overlooked the canal and had a great view. I wish we had eaten in the restaurant inside of elsewhere as the restaurant looked really good. Breakfast was good. There is a grocery store across the parking lot where we bought food for our travel.

Basic hotel in a good location. Quite pricey for what it is. Realise under redecoration and downstairs was lovely but the rooms weren’t great. Staff weren’t the friendliest and this didn’t help. Breakfast wasn’t great for the price too

What a lovely place. a Couple of steps away from the big parking area, and super close to the general shop (if you need anything). When we arrived we were greeted by a young receptionist (whom I wish to think had a bad day and I hope she's more patient and friendlier on other days) who told us that we can leave our suitcases in the lobby as check in was only at 15h00. We then took one of the hotel's little boat's and explored the canals, which was amazing! (they charge 20 euro's per hour). The hotel was great, the rooms were cozy and everything about the hotel was just superb! I thought they couldn't better themselves UNTIL breakfast the next morning. Gosh! I must be honest this was a lovely surprise and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast options. I would definitly recommend this hotel.

I think that this hotel area was greater location rather than centrum of Giethoorn. No.70,270 bus stop named " Dominee Hylkemawqeg" was located in 5min by walk from this hotel and it has supermarket called 'spar' near the hotel, if you want to eat rice and noodle food, you can use chinese restaurant adjacent hotel. Room size that i stayed was relatively cute and small, but it was enough to spend time one night more. Breakfast was also good and I enjoyed my time here. Near the hotel, there are many boat rental shop and bike rental shop,so we could easily enjoy the time in Giethoorn.

came here as part of a visit to Giethoorn; unassuming place but very nice inside; sat outside and had a few comfort dishes -noodles, beer - typical friendly efficient Dutch service; wouldn't make it a destination but if you are going to Giethoorn this is a reasonable place to have your lunch.

Quick check in once it was the allowable time. You can't check in early, but they will hold your luggage if you go out exploring. Close to bus stop. Exit bus and head back in the direction you traveled from. At 50m turn right and cross the street. Hotel is 60m on the right. Large signage. Information Center (extremely friendly and helpful) and grocery with ATM within 5 minutes walking. Bicycles available for rent (at a good rate) with fantastic riding throughout the immediate area (Wieden National Park). Canal boats for hire but we used a different vendor a few doors down. Tour boats also available. Restaurant has cold beer and decent food. Breakfast was very good. Lots of very small canals to walk along with shopping and lots of restaurants. Town is very small with not much to do. The attraction is the Park and the canals near the hotel. We had a terrace room which allowed us to sit outside and have a glass of wine while viewing the people and canal. The terrace is shared with another room so you could have neighbors a few meters away. Room is 'cozy', but clean and comfortable. You get some noise from the adjoining room but not much different from any hotel room. We spent two nights here and believe it was a good choice. Recommended if you want to see a beautiful Dutch village and relax for a few days.

Our stay at this hotel began with a friendly smile and plenty of information for us during our trip to the postcard town of Giethoorn. We were allowed to check in early and check out late which provided us with much more time in the town than anticipated. The room was ground floor facing the restaurant patio which did mean privacy was rather difficult to come by. The size of the room was reasonable and bathroom of typical size for small hotels. The bed was comfortable for my partner however I myself did not sleep due to the mattress (it was later discover that my side had tilted off the edge so - the mattresses themselves were band new) this was just unfortunate but the wonderful lady who runs the place offered me a reduction in my room price which was very lovely of her. The resturant itself has recently been redecorated and the menu very versatile. You must must try their famous ribs!!! The waitress were so kind and lovely. Points to make if staying here : bring shampoo & body wash as well as hairdryer. Overall good place to stay on a budget with great service and good location.
