We loved our stay at Pelsertoren in Zwolle. The room was beautifully decorated, we were kindly welcomed in person by one of the owners, and it is actually located in the tower of Zwolle’s old city walls. There is a supernice terrace on the top of the tower!
The Pelsertoren is in the middle of Zwolle’s city center, easy to walk anywhere.

A nice place, right in the center of Zwolle. You will be among the shops and restaurants within 5 minutes. A beautiful shared roof terrace and nice rooms. Excellent bed, a bath and a special design because of the round rooms. Not for luxury horses, but for
romantics.

This b&b opened its doors in december 2016, but is not the first one for its owners.

The building is a tower in what used to be the city wall. Since is was used for defense purposes there are no windows but openings for cannons. The absence of daylight and a nice view are well compensated by the enormous space and ancient brick walls.

There is a parking just across the street and the main shopping street in the historical city center is only 100 meters away.

The facilities, like the bed, the shower etc are good quality and very clean.

The owners are very nice people who prepared a fantastic breakfast.

All in all a very nice place to stay. We will certainly book a room again.

We had suite one (ground floor) and it is exactly what you can expect when booking a room in an old fortress tower. It’s large, very large (50 m2 or so), it’s dark because there are no windows (a few very, very small ones) and it has a medieval character. What we didn’t realize is that the floors between the appartments are wood and we could almost follow the conversation of the people staying above us at level one. Very noisy.
And be aware that breakfast is at a local coffeeshop, 8 minutes walk. It’s an excellent breakfast but considering the cost of 17,50 pp and the walk you can have it elswhere or buy it yourself. Then again, you know this when you book the hotel because the website mentions it all. And it’s special to sleep in the centre of Zwolle in an old watch tower. The people who run this place were were friendly and helpfull.

The best place (by far) to stay in Zwolle compared to the other hotels and accommodations.
Very trendy, clean and specious rooms, located in the heart of historical center of the city. Beautiful view from the rooftop terrace.
One of the best places I ever have stayed during my travels

I stayed in this very stylish and lovely B&B in November 2018. The host are extremely nice, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very rich and nice. The roof terrace can be hired for private events. The only annoying point was the heating, which was not efficient, probably because the old walls are not isolated. So in Winter it can be rather uncosy and cool in the rooms.

I am writing this as we are still here.
The hosts of this place have been amazing, making us feel as if we were friends just staying at their home for a night.

Our flight got in very early and they were so accommodating letting us put our luggage in our rooms and freshen up before everything was completely ready.

The rooms were super cool! We were looking for a place that would give us a real feel of the history of Zwolle and this definitely was!
The rooms were clean, functional, and very spacious and the rooftop terrace is spectacular, giving you a lovely view of the city and canals.

Whether you are looking for a one night stay or a few days, we would highly recommend!

Great atmosphere. Good price for what you get (even on the cheap end). Top host. Plenty of coffee. Spot on location. In the top of the tower is an outside terace, with seating arrangements and drinks at a most reasonable price. When returning to Zwolle will definitely return. Hot-spot PURE!!
