This cosy bed and breakfast is located right in the city centre of Zwolle. In two beautiful buildings that were renovated in 2008, we created five lovely rooms. Our rooms have all the comforts you will need; coffee and thee facilities, lcd television and free wireless internet access. The “Melkmarkt” and shops are right around the corner and you will find plenty of restaurants, bars and other facilities within walking distance. Translated in English our name is “Beneath the Peperbus”. The Peperbus is a tower of 75 meters high and the symbol of our city. The bed and breakfast is located right beneath it.Rooms:The five rooms differ in size and luxury, so there is always a room to your liking and budget. Room 5 is a small room located at the top floor of the B&B. The room might be small, but it has a great advantage; a lovely rooftop terrace. A great place for a relaxing breakfast, which of course is included in the price. Room 2, located in the basement, is our most luxurious and comfortable room. The room has its own bathroom, a extra long electric adjustable bed and an ambilight television.Room three, four and five share a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook your own meals. And in room one you climb up a small stairs to reach your cosy cupboardbed. It is also possible to stay here with three people, without compromising any comfort! Please click on the room description for more information per room.Rates:For one person the rate varies between €49,- and €74,- euro per night including breakfast. For two people the rate varies between €64,- and €84 euro per night including breakfast.Your breakfast will be served in your room, on the time that you choose between seven and ten am.Accessibility:Within a seven minute walk from the railway station, a bus-stop just around the corner and a cheap 24/7 parking garage close by our B&B has great accessibility. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any directions.

Stayed 3 nights at the end of August. I had the room at the top of the house in the attic with its own balcony. The room is very small, you access through a trapdoor at the top of a ladder...don't be put off !
There's a comfortable double bed, a couple of chairs a TV and storage space, you share the toilet and bathroom below and there is an added bonus of a small kitchen with all the appliances.
I was on my own and it was ample for me and it was lovely to eat my breakfast outside on a sunny morning. The breakfast was substantial and brought to me by a lovely young girl. The B&B is in the middle of town so as you would expect there is some noise although I never found it a problem.

Booked on the last moment, and I was happy to stay here and not in a hotel. The service is better and the room is very original. Even the breakfast they serve on the room, which makes the staying looks like a VIP.

1. The entry code box to type in the entry code had no visible number display. It was a tiny box .I had to phone the owner who was not present, to find out how to open the box. Inside the box there were not the regular numbers that you can type in, but the 4 gear wheels, like a suitcase lock, which you had to turn till you had the right code. But the numbers were so small, that I could not see them in the dark. Not with my reading glasses on, not with the flashlight of my i-phone shining on it. That in the dark and in the rain. One plus point: The owner drove by to explain. When I suggested she installed a light at the door, she gave me an angry look and shrugged.
2. Very, very steep and narrow stairs. More a ldderwith a bend than stairs.
I had room 2. It is in the cellar. When I commented that the stairs were very steep, the owner answered, "Yes, but it says so in our information. You should have read it betterl" I know what a steep stair case is. But this was beyond steep. More like a ladder.
3. Room with absolutely no view. The room must have been a former coal cellar. They turned the coal shaft hole into a window, high against the ceiling. No view. And barely any daylight. I tried to open the window for some air, but I could not discover how to open it.
4. Fire escape. There is a green ecape arrow pointing up at the rediculaously small window. Perhaps you could lift a child out of that window, if you knew how to open it. But no grown up could fit through it.
5. The central heating did not work. Plus points: the owner had placed electric heaters in the room. But I was not warned about the malfunctioning central heating.
6. The toilet was not a regualr toilet, but one with an electric macerator/grinder, which flushes out and upwards with thin drainage pipes. Everytime you flushed , it made a tremendous noise that woke up anyone sleeping in the room.
7. the electric wiring did not look safe. Especially in the bathroom.
Good points:
8.water cooker in the room
9. good supply of coffee and tea

I really find it unacceptable that when booking we weren't informed about the nuisance. The bed could very well have been in the night club itself! And, ok, more personal; the music is terrible as well......
Furthermore, the bed is too small, sheets old and towels smelly. The room just wasn't clean. Only positive thing is that the breakfast is ok.
Wouldn’t recommend this to anybody. I’ve been in many different places and this is the first time I felt the urge to write a review, or better a warning!

We made a bike trip from Germany to the Netherlands and stayed 2 nights in this b&b. We really liked the fact that it was in the middle of the center and the breakfast was outstanding. The stairs where a bit steep after a few drinks so be carefull

The room and service were fine. However the fact that it is closed to a night club is not warned anywhere. Long story short : on Saturday you can't sleep. For a B&B that's rich.

Stayed here with two friends for a night in Zwolle, before traveling further. In the middle of the center, two minute walk from 'De Grote Markt' and perfect for a night stay for an affordable price.
We had three rooms with a small balcony and all slept very well. You are in the middle of the center, so there will be some noise from outside, but not annoying. Breakfast the next morning was simple, but good. They even took care of vegetarians. If you will stay in Zwolle for one night; this is the place to be.
