Honestly, too expensive for what you get. It is a good place to stay, don’t get me wrong. But for the price you pay it just is not how it should be. Rooms are ok, entrance is nice. Take note of the parking cost. They have a small gym. Nice but nothing special (good enough don’t get me wrong). Breakfast is just average, maybe little above. I missed to many things not in quantity but quality. Coffee and tea amenities are outstanding good. That helps. I don’t think I will return here.
Lovely hotel, helpful staff will use again when next in Zwolle. Covid regulations adhered to so we felt safe and relaxed. Breakfast in the hotel was excellent and plentiful ideally situated for shops, and sightseeing
We had our first short vacation after the corona outbreak and we really enjoyed this place. It is modern, spacey and very relaxing. We had a nice big room on the 2nd floor and we could use the stairs but also the elevators. The ground floor houses a large restaurant also used for the breakfast and there is a separate bar/restaurant area with an outside terrace. Staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is on order and not with a buffet but this is still good and relaxing. You can make a new choice everyday (but you can also stick to the same choice everyday). There is also front cooking of an egg dish in different varieties. Even the drinks are served at the table. The restaurant is also cosy and offers a good choice with menus and separate dishes. Prices are reasonable and we had a good meal here. Facilities include a gym room with fitness equipment. Parking is available in front of the hotel and you can also rent bikes here (normal and e-bikes). There is a walkway to the center of the inner city but that takes about 30 minutes. We liked it here and we will come again when we are visiting Zwolle one more time.…
My preferred choice in Zwolle for business stay (I tried out 2 other hotels). Very nice and modern hotel, with all comfort and relax atmosphere. Also friendly personnel. Good price/quality. A bit from the center if you want also visit to the beautiful town of Zwolle.
I have been visiting this hotel for over a year and it’s an oasis is Zwolle. Friendly and helpful staff and the same bar tender ( always a good sign to see a hotel that can hold onto good staff ) Dinner menu is particularly good for a hotel - they could steam their vegetables rather than cook in oil but overall it’s fresh, quick and hot. Rooms clean and spacious with nice bathroom Keep up the good work
Looking for a place to stay in Zwolle for a couple of days we ended up in the Lumen hotel. They offered a reduced winter rate. The modern spacious hotel offers everything you would like: friendly staff, easy checkin, map with some suggestions for Zwolle, (bikes for rent), large rooms with high ceiling, clean, nespresso machine, .... a decent breakfast (eggs prepared as you like) and a nice restaurant. Trying to find a minus.. finally I found one: no sweatener in the room ...
We took the hotel as our HQ while roaming around the Dutch countryside and it was a good choice. The hotel is surprisingly quiet having on mind its next to a busy road; its also very clean. The rest is neither here nor there. Beds are OK. Rooms come without bathroom door - so might be an issue when traveling with non-partners. Breakfast is very basic and if one miss it one would not missed a lot. It has a parking which is cool to. Also, access to hotel by car is bit weird and goes through a parking lot. Your sat nav would bring you to a parking, you need to take the card to open the ramp and then drive across the estate to reach the hotel. We got confused by the ramp and drove around to find entrance. The hotel will give you another card to get out.
The staff is friendly, the hotel room is clean and spacious, they have a nice restaurant, good breakfast, parking available. Perhaps the only lesser point is that is not in the center of Zwolle, it is situated just outside the city of Zwolle. But then again it's only 2 km away.
Check in was easy! The super friendly staff had our keys ready on arrival. All hotels should do this! The hotel has two swift lifts. Our room was a good size, and modern, with loads of cabinets for storage. The bed was comfortable and had all non-feather pillows--great for allergy sufferers! Unfortunately, there was only one power outlet on one side of the bed--not good for when two people need to charge phones and devices at bedside. A simple power hub on the nightstands would solve this problem. The room had a minifridge and a coffeemaker. The bathroom had a large shower (only) with only a trace of mold, which housekeeping could easily remove with a good scrubbing. The water pressure was OK and the hot water stayed hot. The towels were a decent size; one was thick but the other was thin and worn. There was a hairdryer. The free WiFi was mostly strong but was not password protected (not good!). Parking was €7.50 per day in the open-air lot. The hotel restaurant had very good food and an OK wine list. Despite the few issues I would stay here again. …
I stayed for one night on business and as it was a last minute trip myself and colleagues arrived after midnight. Check in went very smoothly and we were greeted like old friends. Drinks were available with a good selection of offer and so we had a nightcap in the comfortable open plan lounge which in winter has a roaring fire. The room was large with a soft but very comfortable bed. Everything was finished to a high standard. Breakfast was semi buffet with the option of omelettes and other egg based hot food cooked to order. All in all I definitely recommend this hotel which is also suggest would be great for leisure as well.
