Grand Hotel Wientjes, located very close to the station has “always” been there. The rooms are nice and modern, even include a small refrigerator. There is a Grand Café with a nice atmosphere and an outside terrace and on the opposite side another restaurant, also with an outside balcony. Especially outside it is very pleasant now the road has been renovated and the buses no longer pass in front. Staff is very friendly and helpful. What I found an unpleasant surprise was that, after returning to the hotel in the evening, as a hotel guest we could not have a meal in any of the restaurants without a prior reservation. I have never come across this before. We had to settle for snacks. This should be communicated to guests by a notice in the room or at checking in. It really was a downer on my experience, which was otherwise good.

Very friendly staff and they pay attentions on details. The hotel has great food and have variety of local dishes. They made even a special dish for my business partner who is vegetarian The hotel is in walking distance from Zwolle centrum what is a nice city to visit. 4 time I stayed here this year :)

The location is excellent, a few minutes walk from the train station and close to the center of town and universities. The hotel is spotless and well designed. The most amazing characteristic of this hotel is the staff, they could not have been more helpful and gracious. Every single request was granted with a smile. I received the coffee capsules of my preference with a smile! I was given good advice and they printed out maps for me to use instead of relying on google maps. One of the staff members (Eleni I think) even walked me to the train station when I checked out to help me carry my very heavy suitcase. I highly recommend this hotel and if ever in Zwolle agian this is where I will stay!

This hotel was excellent. About a block from the train station, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable before, windows that open and allow fresh air in, comfortable seating in the bar area, bikes you can rent, tasty and filling breakfast. I don't give reviews often because I often do not find hotel accommodations remarkable. This place was remarkable. The only thing I would wish for is that their finger food menu in the bar was a tiny more extensive along with a couple more dessert options. Highly recommend this hotel.

A great hotel with the friendliest and finest staff always keeping the guest experience front of mind. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Just a nice place with great detail to the decor. The location is central amd the area is quiet so a good night slepp is always on the cards.

Perfect location. Good parking (paid). Friendly staff. The hotel breakfast and dinner are perfect. The building has grandeur. Classic red awnings. It is on a pretty quiet street, but very near to the train station and to the inner city. All within minutes walking distance. Rooms could use some tlc in respect of sound proofing and central heating noises.

Medium sized hotel, established 90 years ago. About opposite the central railway station this perfectly located to explore both Zwolle and it’s surroundings. This hotel is really suited to groups; nice large meeting rooms and nice enough hotel rooms. Unfortunately we couldn’t get a grip on the meeting room temps.
My hotel room was located in the back this quiet. No air on but a window that could be opened.

Perfect location less than 5 min from the train station on a leafy street. Easy walk to canals and to old town. Staff are so helpful, nothing is too much or a problem. Room was small (single) but immaculate. Missing was lotion but the front desk did provide free of charge when queried. (Wish they provided in refillable bottles in the bathroom.) Bikes available for rent and are in good shape. The hotel was great and I’m glad I chose it.

The hotel is a not far from the city center in a rather calm street. Fantastic and very motivated staff. Rooms are spacious. Beds are very comfortable. The bar is a visit worth at any time of the day. The restaurant serves very creative dishes. And die old town of Zwolle is just a lovely little beauty. I will definitiver come back.

We stayed a weekend in this hotel based on a ANWB offer. Hotel nicely located between tarin station and city center. Welcome at the hotel was delightful with excellent explanation and touristic information. Rooms clean, spacious and well maintained. Breakfast was very tasty with more than enough choice. Brasserie is spacious and has a relaxing atmosphere.

No problem for parking, at the front of the hotel (behind a building) is a large parking, so you only have to cross over the little street. And as mentioned by other people the hotel has also a parking behind the hotel. We didn't park in advance, however we were there in the winter. Have a nice stay in Zwolle and don't forget to eat the " Zwolsche Bol" is lovely.
