Very nice small-scale (7 rooms) hotel in a former 19th century provincial house in the historic center of Zwolle. Restored and modernized in detail, with beautiful paintwork and stained glass windows. Very comfortable room with chic little 'golden' bathroom (shower). Fine Marie Stella Maris bath products. Lovely bed and bedding. No refrigerator, but a Nespresso machine. There is a nice terrace in the courtyard for lunch and drinks. The restaurant is beautiful and suitable from breakfast to dinner. Stylish furnishings in striking colours. Breakfast was fine with freshly prepared scrambled eggs in the 'breakfast box'. Friendly service. Very strong price level. Parking is easy and affordable in the Diezerpoort parking garage, a few minutes' walk away.

What a beautiful building! The restaurant is worth a visit for that alone. It is wonderful that this old building has finally been given a destination that does justice to the history of this old provincial government building. The sandwich beforehand was unique. Surprising and delicious. The choice of hot starters is very limited. The choice of hot main dishes is also too limited. What you can order is fine. Although I found the game pate a bit too dry. Corn chicken was tasty. The service was friendly but not always attentive. A nice choice of open wines! The French l'Homme wine was well received.
In short, a beautiful building with a map that is still growing and improving!

We had an excellent lunch. A good glass of Riesling sect beforehand. The pumpkin fritter was tasteful. I had mustard soup. It was nicely served at the table. The side served sandwiches were also of good quality. The staff was friendly and attentive. The building is very nice.

Duration!!!! I think paying 6 euros for a mini pastry and almost 4 euros for a lukewarm cappuccino is quite well priced. Few staff present so the coffee was already finished and then the pastry arrived
So not a second time for us

A special, historic and wonderful hotel with flair! The few rooms are exclusively equipped, with a perfect combination of historical charm and modern comfort. The service was first class, especially Jamal, whose attention and empathy made my stay unforgettable. If you are looking for a unique and quality accommodation in Zwolle, you will find it here. Absolute Recommendation!

We had coffee in the beautiful and atmospheric restaurant. We reported to a fairly young man at the desk. We explicitly asked what pastries they had and if it was fresh. He confirmed that! When we sat down, he came to tell us there was only one pastry of apple pie left. We got a clear old piece, hard and unflavourable. To our great surprise, we saw some bowls of fresh apple pastries as we left. We did feel cheated. Surely it would have been a small effort to walk to the kitchen and get two fresh apple pies already made? As far as we are concerned, we walk past this cozy place as loyal coffee drinkers from now on!

Loved our stay in the Hotel Staatsman Queen's commissioner suite. Great historic hotel modernly appointed, helfpul staff, with a wonderful breakfast - best presentation ever, perfect location for touring Zwolle on our Holland bike tour. Thank you!

We had lunch here with a few friends. Beautiful building! Nice atmosphere, nice service. Nice neat toilets. Our lunch was quite tasty but very small. Coffee and wine excellent! About the size of the lunch; Too bad, Robert would say...
