We really enjoyed our stay at the Koperen hoogte! On arrival they upgraded us straight to the Royal suite on the top floor. Very spacious room with a great view! The Jacuzzi was just massive and we could stay there for ever! The staff was nice and the breakfast was OK. Karin&Lenn

When i was a child we often passed by this water-tower on our way to visit relatives. I could have never imagined it would be turned into a very special hotel, nor that i would ever even stay for a night or two. A spacious, luxurious room with splendid views in different directions and some almost glamorous bath-facilities. The room was so large, we could not even find a fridge, but we didn't mind as there were plenty possibilities within the building for food and drink. To make all of this more perfect we got a rainbow, for free

This hotel, retrofitted in an old water tower is absolutely unique! It has class and is chock full of interesting sea and ship esoterica. The revolving gourmet restaurant atop the tower employs a unique menu approach; the only choice offered is the number of courses---no food choices unless you have allergies or special needs, such as a vegan diet. The food is prepared for each individual order---just like at home but it is wildly imaginative and each course is a work of art. The rooms are large and lovely----only two on each level, the bathroom is huge with a giant Jacuzzi and a steam cabinet. A new adventure for Americans! Quirky? Yes, definitely, but offers superb service and a fun experience. Good value for the money.

Don't get me wrong the interior of this hotel is beautiful, but there are many problems. The rooms are very dated for the money you spend on a room. Which is frustrating because the rooms are good size and for a little money, it could make a world of difference. But what bothered me the most was the lack of safety. For one if you look at this hotel it's a concrete tower they keep all the stair ways locked so if there is a fire your screwed. When we realized this because there was only one working elevator, we were insured not to worry in case of a fire we'll come unlock the doors. Btw look at my photos of there fire safety, covering up electrical plugs with cardboard. If you planning on staying here and having a night out you might have to think again, because the night manger will act like you father. He wants to know where your going and what time you'll be coming back! Also no mini bar, so don't plan on keeping anything cold in your room but at the same time everything in the hotel is closed at night so no late night anything. No room service. But you will find a CD player from 1997. Just not what I expected for the amount of money you spend. One last thing, if you planning on making this a romantic night out make sure you check out the beds, their split in to with nothing holding them together, makes it difficult to sleep next to you partner without falling in the middle.

We stayed at the hotel for Valentine's day! A welcome with roses all over! 10th floor - room with a view but we were most surprised by the bathroom facilities; steam bath and whirlpool for 2! Very nice! Very spacious room in itself; excellent audio system (in main room & bathroom), good bed, extra seating - very complete. We did miss coffee/tea making facilities. Hotel offers various bar/restaurant choices - restaurant on top floor rotates! - is next to a fishing pond - just a 10 min ride from lovely city Zwolle. Breakfast is **** (4 star)!

We've been visiting friends in Holland for a month and wanted a fun experience before leaving to go home. Our Dutch friends said this hotel was great so off the four of us went. The restaurant had delicious food and we enjoyed ourselves very much in the steam room and jacuzzi in our rooms. Breakfast was awesome and a good time was had by all!

had dinner and enjoyed the great menu and the vieuws in a rotating restaurant at the top. Be sure to be there before sundown. This is one of the best locations. And all this for a very reasonable price as well.

This is without doubt one of the most amazing hotels I've ever stayed in. The most helpful staff I've ever met, nothing is a problem. Glorious rooms with great views, spa bath and steam shower. Also an amazing dining experience in both the bar and the top floor restaurant.

We booked this hotel with a dinner and brunch on sunday package and had a sizable discount. The hotel is very easy to find with plenty of parking. From the entrence thru the revolving door to the lobby everything was decorated in christmas cheer. Lights, trees, raindeer, the works a superb time to visit. Check in was efficient and friendly. The decor in the lobby and the entrance to the restaurant on the ground floor is very highly decorated in style. Much attention has been given to the details such as the logo of the hotel you find everywhere, in the marble floors lift etc. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathroom the ultimate with a giant 2 persons jacuzzi and a steam shower for 2 persons. TV and stereo as well as coffe machine. 2 rooms to a floor we had a room on the fifth floor. The restaurant on the top was very good and service perfect, later we had coffee at the bar on top this was also very nice and well decorated in old sea equipment and aquariums in each booth. very nicely done the service was here to just excellent. In the morning as we are both smokers the doorman provided us complementary capuccinos in the indoor smoking lounge. This was the top point of hospitality and all of the staff provided excellent service and information and with a smile. utterly impressed
