Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
I changed to this hotel at the last minute after finding my original was a long distance from the business I needed. I am so glad I did. My room although a single was roomy it was warm had 2 windows was equivalent of 4 times glazed. Had a view over the busy square though you couldnt hear it. The room was clean and tended each day. It has l9ts of hood eateries around it although they also do a good range of burgers themselves. One slight disadvantage is although you have a wonderful shower suite attached to your room you fo have to share a toilet fir the floor but a small price to pay. Check in was really easy and friendly and you can run a tab for your stay and settle at the end which again is useful. If I'm working Amersfoort again I would definitely stop there again without a shadow of a doubt.

I went to Amersfoort for some work related trainings and seeing that this was a business trip, unfortunately we had a very limited time to explore the surroundings, however, one of the great advantages of this hotel was that it was exactly in the city center. You cannot be more in the city center than this :). First great impression was from the staff who were really friendly and helpful, always smiling and actually took the time to write "welcome" on my card key holder in my native language! I know it might not feel as much but it's the little things and that attention to details that I really appreciate. The room was cozy and the only things that was missing were a pair of slippers (I forgot to take my own) and the shower gel, but it wasn't a problem because I always bring mine along. To be honest, I think the cleaning staff just forgot to refill it and I could of just asked. Another great thing is that you are 5 min away walking distance from a good supermarket with reasonable prices (Coop) and of course other places like Starbucks, Taco Bell, McDonalds etc. For us it didn't matter because the hotel has a very nice and cozy pub with reasonable prices and good food, also a lot of vegetarian options if you're into that. Even though the pub gets a bit noisy, I hardly heard any noise in my room and was able to sleep very well. Thank you very much for your warm welcome and positive attitude, please never change because this is the main thing that makes this experience special! Hope I will come back soon, this time for a well deserved vacation!

The location is perfect, at the heart of the city center. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The accommodation is the best money can buy: we had suite #6 which had enough sleeping space for 2 adults and 2 kids, more than enough leisure space for all.

We paid for a room for 3 people. My mam, my aunt and I. My mam and aunt both being in their 50’s. When we arrived we were informed they hadn’t realised the booking was for 3 and now that they saw that on the booking they’d bring an extra bed into our room. Later that night we went into the room which was really just fit for a double bed, a camp bed had been added for the 4 nights. More to our horror was that our toilet was outside in the hall for sharing with the rest of the floor. We raised our concerns with the staff who gave us an option to either pay extra for a room with a toilet or get our money back. I think this is poor for a place called a “hotel” and not a hostel. We weren’t offered any discount for our having a camp bed in a small double room with no toilet for 4 nights.

Good evening, thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that the hotel was not to your liking. Although it is possible to add an extra bed in most of our rooms, the standard rooms are 16m2. Therefore, they are most comfortable for 2 people when you stay for more than 1 night. Regarding the toilet, we have multiple rooms. The Budget and Standard rooms have shared facilities. The Comfort rooms and the Suite have all facilities inside the room. This information is all written at the room summaries on the webistes. For the next time, you can always give us a call. I don't often do reviews particularly if the experience is negative & a small business, but they requested one so here goes- This is Not a Hotel but a Hostel in reality. Firstly the positives. It was clean & the room warm, (even though half the rads didn't seem to work) & very central. Whilst they provide what is stated be aware you need to read the info in detail. There is no lift & the typically dutch stairs are very steep. You only get the bare minimum of whatever is stated. The double bed was the narrowest we have had ever. There was no wardrobe, just 4 coat hooks. There are No cups, no coffee, no tea, no glasses., no plug for the sink. There was a flat screen tv, probably the smallest we have ever seen, but there are No channels, unless you pay to stream through your own phone! To have a room with w.c was extra, to have breakfast was extra, in fact everything you really need will be extra- our fault for not reading the info in detail. Mistakenly we expected the place to actually resemble a Hotel! But conversely the night before we paid 15% more & had a great Room with a proper double bed, full en suite facilities, a decent tv & plenty of programme options, plus a full buffet breakfast included. This was a 15 min train journey away in central Utretcht at Hampton by Hilton. This alternative really is a no brainer. This place seems to be purely set up to screw tourists.

Goodafternoon, Thank you for your review and I am sorry to hear that you stay has not been positive. I would like to reply on a couple of feedback points you gave. We are not a chain organization like Hilton however a small, cozy hotel in the middle of the city center of Amersfoort. Since the hotel only has two floors and 12 rooms, we do not have an elevator however if people need help with their luggage we are always happy to help to bring them upstairs. Furthermore we have a Pub downstairs where you can get everything you need. This means that you can always get coffee, tea or other beverages at the bar. For the next time I would like to advice you to ask my colleagues for help. Also regarding the television we are happy to help. There are indeed no channels however everything can be streamed from your mobile phone or we can even give you one of our Ipads. For example you can stream Netflix, YouTube and Viaplay. We have different types of rooms. Budget rooms where all facilities are shared, Standard rooms where the shower is in the room however the toilet is shared, Comfort rooms where all facililities are in the room and one Suite which has two floors and all facilities in the room. Of course, for the budget room you pay less as for example a Comfort room. On the booking engines the differences are stated in the booking text. Great apartment, the experience couldn't have been better. When I first arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the manager, who showed me the place, handed me the keys and even recommended me some places to sight see.
The apartment is spacious, very clean, well decorated, well-equipped and located in the best possible location of the city. It is right in the city center, in a lively but quiet square, and that means that everything you might need is conveniently within a 5 minute walk. Supermarkets, pharmacies, ATMs, bars, restaurants, shops...you name it.
Being in the city center also has other perks when it comes to commuting to worksites or travelling as there are multiple public transportation options very nearby, including transportation to Amersfoort's Central Train Station, which if you feel like walking is only 15 mins away. Also, if you ever need to send big files or sometimes work from home, as was my case, you can do it very comfortably thanks to the fast speed internet, the quietness and the well light environment.
The check-out was also very easy and flexible and the return of the deposit very quick. While I was checking-out, I was asked if I had any suggestions of improvement. This speaks volumes for their care and attention to detail but what's even more important for you is that I honestly could not think of any possible improvement. It is that good, I cannot recommend it enough.

The hotel was in a great location, next to a beautiful tower & in a lively square. The staff were welcoming & v friendly & rooms clean and adequate. My room overlooked the beer garden at the rear so it was a little noisy and the smell of food quite strong as I was on a lower floor but it was empty by 10pm, it was a Monday evening. This would not stop me staying here again.

I’m no writer but we loved staying here! The bar area is lovely with good service and really friendly staff, who are also there for the hotel guests. Our twin room with en-suite was super clean, the bed is really comfortable and the temperature can be controlled in the room. They even provide ear plugs in case of noise from the neighbouring bars or whatever. I would definitely recommend long johns and I’d come back again too! Thank you to the staff ☺️

Ideal for my needs. The room was clean and had a shower and washing facilities. No toilet in the room but out in the hallway. Staff were friendly and kept the room clean and tidy over the 4 days I stayed. room was on the 1st floor and stairs were quite steep. There is no lift. Although close to the centre of the town there was little noise mainly because of the secondary glazing. I would recommend the hotel with the proviso that if you are unable to climb the stairs then I would look elsewhere. I used the hotel so that I could be close to my relatives and it suited my needs admirably and I will be using it again. It also has a great bar with typical pub food.

Very nice room with bathroom, and a little terrace . The pub is very pratice to have a drink, to eat or to have a breakfast. A parking is near the hotel and costs 15 euros per day. Small town very beautiful

Thank you for your questions about our hotel.
It is possible to park your car in the parking garage called "De Soeverein". It is an area close to the hotel, approximately 5 minutes walk. At our frontdesk you can buy a drive-out card for €6,50 for as long as you want to park your car.
About the rooms; we have different types: budget rooms that have a shared bathroom in the corridor, standard rooms with shower facilities and comfort rooms with all the bathroom facilities in the room.
