The minute we walked in, we were greeted by very friendly, professional staff! We booked at the last minute and we’re lucky to even get the nice room we had. In the back, quiet and very comfortable w space to put your suitcases, great nightstands, and wonderful walk-in shower w all amenities. So many boutique hotels have no room for any luggage , etc. Nice set up for kettle and coffee machine, mini frig had water, nice big closet w plenty of hangers, large walk in shower w terrific towels, amenities like a shower cap! Hair dryer easy to reach on the wall. Everything spotless! Bed was ok, too soft for me and not a fan of pillows but all was very good! The best service from the staff for meals especially from David who is on top of every request!!! He made sure everybody was providing the best service w a smile!!! Would have liked a little more variety in the menu which changes weekly w specials but many starters and entree were great and had them more than once! Have to say we were so impressed with this hotel!!! Leiden is not easy to get around if u have any physical problem so u need to call the hotel taxi service which is what u have to do to get into town. Little to no parking at any hotel in town but u can park behind the hotel for a small fee. Close to train station and very close to Schipholweg Airport and that is a big plus too! Hotel restaurant, Rubens, is excellent!!! Restaurant manager, Pim, has top-notch customer service skills and bends over backwards to accommodate dietary needs. You don't have to be booked there to eat there. Comfortable king-size bed. Wrote hotel asking for top floor. Was not told at the time that if you book thru Expedia, you cannot get the top floors. Housekeeping was atrocious. Room was dusty. After they serviced our room, WC had variety of dirt, etc. on floor from other hotel room. Excellent location near train/bus station and quaint section of Leiden.

We had a five-night stay here, and we found that it suited our needs perfectly. We used Leiden as a home base for day trips, including one to the Keukenhof Gardens. The hotel's location is literally a five-minute walk from the train station. On arrival day, we were offered a ground-floor room to occupy immediately, or an upper-floor room if we were willing to wait. We decided to wait. We placed our luggage in the storage room, and went out for a meal and an exploratory walk. When we got back, our fourth-floor room was ready. We had requested a quiet room, and were assigned a room facing the back of the hotel. It was absolutely silent. The quiet room, the blackout curtains and the comfortable beds insured a good night's sleep. The room had everything we needed. There was a comfortable upholstered chair, as well as a desk and chair. We had a refrigerator, a kettle to boil water for tea, and a coffee maker. The only negative thing I can think of was that, either we couldn't figure out how the coffee maker worked, or else it was broken. We brewed one cup of hot water and then tried again, only to produce water that leaked out from the bottom before we gave up on the idea all together. The bathroom had plenty of room for toiletries on both sides of the sink. The shower was fabulous! It was a true walk-in design, with floor-to-ceiling tile. The shower was fantastic, with a choice of two shower heads, easy-to-use controls, and plenty of hot water, with terrific water pressure. The breakfast buffet was extremely well-supplied, with everything you could think of, great selection, and high quality. On our departure day, it took less than five minutes to check out. We left the hotel lobby and caught a train exactly seven minutes later. A fifteen- minute train ride took us to Schiphol airport. It couldn't have been easier! The front desk personnel were extremely welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. I wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else, should we be fortunate enough to return. Great hotel with pleasant and helpful staff. We had a suite on the 5th floor facing the train station. There was mild traffic noise but not too bad. Large room with comfortable bed. They rent standard bikes for 16 euro and electric for 30 euro a day. Easy walk to many sites and restaurants.

We have just stayed for three nights and were very impressed with this hotel . The location is perfect , minutes from the station and the bars , shops and restaurants in the city centre are literally just around the corner. The hotel itself is clean , comfortable and well presented . The rooms are clean and spacious . The breakfast was great and there was always plenty available. The staff were excellent. Check in and out was simple and the reception staff were really helpful ( my daughter had an ear infection when we arrived , and the young lady on reception helped us get a doctors appointment, and made a point of asking us how she was each day ) . The bar and restaurant staff were also very professional and attentive. This hotel was perfect for our family break and the staff should be commended on their excellent service . Thank you .…

Had a business suite. Spacious with separate seating area and large bathroom with plenty of space for the suitcases. Spotlessly clean . Next to the station so perfect to use as a base. Leiden is a pretty town. Breakfast was good as was drinks in the bar . A happy and friendly team

Best bathtub! Best location: near the train station; easy access to the airport by train (15 minutes); the restaurant is closed Sunday night as many restaurants in town. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fantastic! best hotel to stay while on business trip!

We were spending one night on Friday at this hotel, we went directly to the car park behind the hotel and could later park our car in their covered parking. Our dag received a nice little attention, the room was very spacious, and although quite basic our stay was enjoyable. The Breakfast was ok, checking & checkout went fast.

The hotel is perfect for Leiden centre, it’s just a few minutes stroll there. The rooms are spacious, we had a large shower room and the shower itself was fantastic. The bed was two singles pushed together, to be honest it’s not the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in, but it was okay. The room was really clean and well stocked. Breakfast was your standard buffet, not the best, not the worst, enjoyable and lots of choice. The staff make the hotel, they’re a young crew, very helpful, always smiling and nothing is too much trouble. All in all it’s a really good hotel if your staying in Leiden. We’ll stay here again!
