The room was clean and comfortable, but there was mold near the ceiling in the bathroom (Room 6). The young women in Reception in the morning were both friendly and helpful. But the Reception area closed in the afternoon and stayed closed until the next morning. There is no common room. The breakfast was ample, but rather boring. It's about... More

My wife and I wanted a relaxing vacation. What we got while in Leiden was an aggravating experience with an overly controlling hotel owner. He wanted to know when we were leaving and returning. He kept knocking on our door for various reasons. He criticized us for not enjoying his breakfast basket containing a variety of crackers. If he had... More

The owner is the Donald Trump of the Netherlands. We believe he inflates his reviews because he blocked us from reviewing him on booking.com. He did this by lying--claiming we were "no show." The room photos on his website are deceptive. I will never forget his bone crushing greeting handshake. When I cried out in pain, the owner laughed that... More

I will be honest and say that I cannot comment on the actual customer service once at the hotel as I never actually got there. My issue is that due to a family emergency I cancelled the hotel at 2302 on Tues 31st May when we were due to arrive on Fri 3rd June. I was surprised to receive an... More

As a family of 4 we were really pleased with our sizeable room which was a suite of two interconnecting rooms with an en suite, table and four chairs and a sofa. The shower was fantastic - lots of pressure and hot water. The whole place was friendly and very clean. We opted for the breakfast which came on a... More

The reviews on TA were extremely mixed, so I'll just give the facts here and people can decide if they want to give it a shot. Location: A previous post by DWM1875 gave very clear directions from the train station. Use the rear exit of the train station and it is at most 10 minutes walk with luggage on a... More

Located 5 minutes walk from Leiden Central station and 10 minutes walk from Leiden centre. The hotel is a Dutch style building with modern features including a lift. There is a reception desk with limited opening, but help is on call when needed. Late arrivals are no problem. There is an on-site car park, so you can leave your car... More

This is a comfortable hotel, close to Leiden Central Station and the picturesque city centre. The management was friendly and efficient. The hotel is situated on the corner of a quiet street of elegant houses.

“Our room was on the top floor and had a small balcony (just big enough for a couple of chairs). It faced the street so you could watch the cars/people go by but you could also hear them at night (even with the windows closed) but.... you're in the city so there will be noise.”
