Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
4-star hotel in a fairly central area of The Hague and at the same time very quiet. The reception is as you should expect from this category and with two receptionists in turn. Up in the room you will find a really large, well maintained, with desk, armchairs, wardrobe, TV , minibar, ironing board, really nothing is missing! The bathroom as well is nice big, with shower and jacuzzi. Too bad, however, that both lacked a flexible shower to wash better. Another flaw the mini room of the toilet, really reduced access and space. We did not take advantage of breakfast as almost € 23 per person I now find it very exaggerated, although increasingly widespread to find these prices. On the other hand, around there are many bars, although for two cappuccinos and two croissants still start 18 €! In the evening then there is the bar and restaurant service, we had two really well made cocktails, as it should always be. Recommended and would stay again.
Last note for the hotel parking. They have few places, for a fee of course, and in case you have to go a little further to a public one and spend about 25 € if you get the access link from the hotel.

A great hotel in a central location, very close to all attractions of the old part of the city (15 minute walk on average). Great staff and service, very good food (had only breakfasts as we had dinners elsewhere). I booked very late so the rates were slightly more expensive but when booking in advance, the prices are very reasonable.

The hotel is very tastefully decorated, not a cool 0815 design, but with charm. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the location is perfect for exploring the city or driving to the beach. The terrace is perfect in summer and a real added value over other hotels!

An attractive hotel in a nice neighborhood. Public transport around the corner, and surprisingly nice shops a few blocks away. The hotel has a great look and feel. I found the rooms colorful and cozy, with funny details, such as the knocks on the doors, the fancy door handle, the room number in curly letters, and the tiles in the bathroom (where, by the way, there was a phone on the wall instead of a hair dryer). Very friendly and helpful staff, and good coffee in the room! Yet I cannot give more than 2 stars, because I have suffered a lot from sound. My room was at the back, near the exhaust system of the restaurant. It caused a constant heavy hum. Fortunately, it was immediately possible to get another room. At first I was happy (the new room seemed much quieter), but in the evening a prominent hum emerged here too. It was like sleeping next to the engine room of a ship, even with the windows closed. At 11:30 p.m. this decreased, but still at the volume of an idling car. It didn't get quiet until 1:30 a.m. Unfortunately short-lived, because I woke up before 7 am from the TV in the adjacent room (thin walls). My tip for the staff is to ‘test sleep’ in one of the rooms above the restaurant, to see how to tackle these noise problems. I certainly did not expect this at a hotel of this allure. My tip for guests: ask for a room far from the restaurant, and/or bring earplugs.

Great location in the diplomatic quarter with lots of greenery and beautiful villas all around. Hotel is cozy, inviting. Nice terrace. Living room atmosphere in the breakfast room/restaurant.
Staff mostly friendly, courteous, professional.
We had the so-called "Royal Room", which was clearly showing its age, as was the bathroom. It was tiny, toilet lid loose, shower wall and its bracket heavily calcified or showing signs of mold. Wardrobe not wiped out properly inside. We are not particularly fussy, but the stay would have been even nicer without these defects.
Breakfast was excellent, the service here was particularly attentive! We found the quality of the food in the evening not quite as great in terms of value for money.
Service on the terrace was great. For example, we were able to enjoy mint tea or ice-cold white wine here after our excursions.

Upon our arrival, the lady at the reception was a bit overwhelmed. The fact that three double rooms had been booked by one person via a corresponding portal probably does not happen every day. I would have liked the honourable Member present to have been more supportive. New employees must be carefully trained. In one of the booked rooms, the key card could not open the door. On request it was then found that the wrong room number had been mentioned and noted. Our room (201) was extremely dark because on the one hand the window was extremely small (with a maximum of 2 meters away) and on the other hand the furniture was in dark wood. Even the lamps present in the room hardly provided the appropriate brightness. The wallpaper detached from the wall in some places, which did not make a particularly well-kept impression. Especially since such a thing can probably be fixed quite quickly. The staff was mostly (very) friendly. In the restaurant/terrace we would have hoped for a little more attention and dynamism from the service. Breakfast was better, but the restaurant area seems a bit too small during peak hours. The choice of food offered for breakfast was OK. The bikes offered by the hotel for rent were all impeccably fine. The rental worked without any problems. That the location of the hotel is ideal for a city tour, has already been reported here several times. All in all, the hotel is already OK. However, I would make sure on my next visit that I get a brighter room with a better view. For only two nights at the weekend, that was now acceptable. That's how it is when you book the simplest category. Although the other two rooms of the same category were probably much brighter.

We were over New Year's Eve suburb and are extremely pleased. The location is very good, you can quickly reach the shopping street and it very quiet. The rooms are all decorated differently, everything is available! The bed is Mega 👍. Breakfast is just as good, all there from cereal and fresh juice, as fresh eggs are prepared. We will come back!

Heel goed, schoon, mooi kamer, vriendelijke mensen. Excellent for families and for a short business stay. The room was clean, the staff friendly, the breakfast in a fresh and bright environment. If you want to park your car in their outdoor parking you need to book it in advance.

It was so relaxing to walk out to green neighbourhood, close to trams and also to restaurants and the elegant shops of Noordeinde. Our room was on the 1st floor but no noise to worry us and at the press of a button a blind descended which blocked out the light for a sound sleep. The only fault, and did not inconvenience too much was that we had to wait until well after 4 on the Sunday afternoon before our room was cleaned. Just meant that we couldn’t return to our room to have a shower before heading out. We were told that there were only 2 staff cleaning all the rooms. The staff at the desk were very apologetic and were always helpful.

Spent four nights with my two kids. The beds were comfortable, our room had a balcony and included use of mini bar. The decoration of the room was beautiful, conveyed a feeling of relax rather than just temporary accommodation. The bathroom was spacious and the breakfast tasty, very pleased we had the option of omelette/eggs for breakfast. Location is great, in 5 mins you are in the Noordeinde area of the centre, you have tram and bus stops nearby, green areas all around. When I visit The Hague again I will definitely stay here again!

Dear Redheadsturnheads,
Thank you for your note! The Carlton Ambassador is not equipped with a pool or gym, but if you're in to running, than we can recommend a number of wonderful places for a work out. We can also arrange a day membership card at a gym nearby (100 meters). We're looking forward to welcoming you soon!
