Detailed Reviews
The location of the hotel is right in the middle of the south train station and the city center making it easy to maneuver our way through Brussels. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating are ensure you are enjoying your stay.
Included breakfast every morning is a nice add on and there are plenty of choices as well as a lovely staff member restocking/offering help where needed.
Our room was spacious and very comfortable, they also offer to do your laundry or dry cleaning for a price which is much appreciated. We had a big wardrobe, decent sized desk and cool comforting bathroom.
House-keeping was brilliant when we got it and have no complaints.
Overall great place to stay!

Really have to give compliment to the staffs who have gone extra miles to help us with the AirPods that we left behind in the hotel. We stayed here for one night, staffs always welcome us with a smile, we were allowed to leave our luggage with them before check in time. Room is big, bed is comfy. Bathroom equipped with Loccitane toiletries that made me feel at home. Breakfast was excellent with wide varieties of good food. The hotel is easy access to almost all the tourist attractions in the centre. Can’t ask for more! Will choose this hotel again when we visit Brussels given the reasonable price and the quality provided!

We actually stayed here in summer 2019 on our second trip to Brussels. Our journey was full of delays and cancellations and as soon as we walked in, the staff member Otman (hope I spelt it correctly) on reception realised how tired we were and upgraded our room to a deluxe. Great start to the trip. He was great throughout our stay! The room was lovely and the location is perfect as it’s a short walk to the grand place and la gare du midi with numerous metro stations even closer. Thé street also has a local grocery shop opposite the hotel and lovely cafes nearby for a meal or drinks anytime. We always went to the Elvis café which is on the same road as the hotel and they did tasty food whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you’re feeling lazy to go out for dinner after a day of exploring, the hotel also offer to order food for you from nearby takeaways which is delivered to your room. Awesome service. Fab hotel and friendly staff at a good price too, highly recommend. Will definitely be staying here again when we next visit Brussels.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Lovely big room and comfy double bed. Large bathroon with bath/shower and a big sink with enough space for toiletries. I didn't have breakfast here, but it is available. Also has deliveroo service! If required.
I took the train from the airport and arrived at the nearby station. Only a 4 mins walk to the hotel from the train station. Lots of places to eat nearby. Take a right out of the hotel and walk 2 mins to a lovely sushi restaurant and many other eateries.
Left out of the hotel, takes you to a corner shop, restaurants and Grand Place (10 mins walk away). Also close to Central station (another 5 mins from Grand Place), where the hop on hop off bus leaves from.
I'd stay here again for the convenient location. Staff were nice too.

I stayed three nights at the Augustin and overall liked it. Rooms were large if somewhat impersonal, my bathroom had a bathtub and L’Occitane products, which smell great. The reception and breakfast staff were always very friendly, and the breakfast itself sufficient in variety. At night, there were some noise coming from other rooms, and one morning and electrician pretty much barged into my room, which I found odd. But others than that, a good solid choice do which I would happily return if I did not find something better for the price.

Lovely hotel with very little you could fault, the staff were very helpful and friendly and recommended places to visit and how to get there. The room (402) was spotlessly clean and the biggest room I have ever stayed in. The breakfast was good with a choice of cold meats, cheeses, yoghurts, fruits, juices, pastries.
The only downside for me was the bar wasn't serviced and you had to get the person at reception for a drink, this was off putting
There is a nice restaurant directly opposite the front door and we probably had the niecest meal of our stay here.
Very easy to walk to the Grand Palace, mannekin pis and the train station from the hotel all reachable in 10 minutes

We stayed one night here, it was 34 degrees when we arrived so we were grateful for the air-con. The staff were very helpful, advising us where nearby restaurants and places of interest were. Breakfast was good, the room was spacious and clean and they provide L'Occitane toiletries - lovely. There was lots of building works nearby but we weren't bothered by the noise. It's only a short walk to the station, 10 minutes or so.

We stayed here in July 2022. Once we eventually found the hotel (there are a lot of roadworks going on around it), it was the perfect location. The room was a decent size for our family (2 double beds) and it was cleaned and we had fresh towels every day (if we wanted them). Once you get your bearings its only a short walk to the Grand Place and lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Would definitely recommend here and would stay here again if we were to return to Brussels.

Was meant to have 2 single beds, they brought up a fold out bed and tried to charge us and then changed the main bed to single ish or Europe interpration of single beds. Got and extra doona which sufficed. Asked them to remove portable bed. Room was full of bugs, woke up with bites all over. Told them about bugs they said would clean and spray, didn't happen. Staff were not helpful, would not recommend..Shower was crap sprayed all over the room, old and lots of stains, shower head nearly falling off wall. Not a 4 star. Would not recommend.

I stayed at The Augustin for 6 days with my family. First of all, I can definitely say the staff is very friendly. Nice lobby and breakfast. I had asked for an early check in but, although they tried, we didn’t get our rooms until 3:00 p.m.
We had 2 rooms. My husband and I chose the delux room. The difference between that and my kids quad room was silly, for lack of a better word. We had conditioner and they didn’t. (I travel quite a bit, and I’ve never seen this before.) The ‘coffee’ machine they had was a water boiler for instant coffee. We had that and a Nespresso machine which had probably never been cleaned. It was filled with some sort of moldy residue. We never used it.
The hotel’s description says that there are walk-in showers. Neither of our rooms had those. In fact, they were very slippery tubs. Even my children had difficulty in them.
Like others said, the rooms need a face lift and better insulation for noise. We had to go asking for missing towels and TP as nothing was ever replaced. On the last day, our room was never made up and the AC broke down but I was too tired to complain.
Overall, the hotel is ok. Nothing more.

Dear,
Thank you for your question and your interest towards The Augustin.
The hotel location is only 10 minutes walking distance from the Gare du Midi (Midi Station). When you are at “Gare du Midi”, you need to go out from the station at the hotel Pullman (Place Victor Horta). Then, you should keep going straight in direction of the city center by using the street “Esplanade de l’Europe”. At the end of this street you would have to cross the Boulevard Midi to take the “Avenue Stalingrad”. Once you are in “Avenue Stalingrad” you should keep going straight in direction of “Place Rouppe”. The Augustin hotel is located on your left, number 25-31.
You can also take the tramway n° 3 in direction of “Esplanade” or tramway n°4 in direction of “Gare du Nord”. The ticket costs 2.10€ You would have to stop at “Anneessens”. Once you arrived at “Annessens”, go out of the station in direction of “Place Rouppe”. When you are out of the metro station, you should use the perpendicular road at “Boulevard Lemmonier” and take the road named “Rue de Tournai “in direction of “Place Rouppe”. At the end of « Rue de Tournai », you should turn right to take « Avenue de Stalingrad”. The Augustin would be located on your right, number 25-31.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any further information.
Have a beautiful day,
Best regards,
Ninon - Front Office
it was a superior deluxe room on the 2nd floor. can't remember the room number but it was facing the street.
No parking facilities that we saw. Street parking looked tough as well with limited parking. However I'm sure the hotel could direct you for parking. We walked everywhere or took UBER.
I didn’t see any balconies, and my window basically looked right into a brick wall, no view at all.
