We couldn't fault this hostel. The owner was so friendly and the hostel is very clean and well located in a quiet area but near the old town and Dampoort station. We really appreciated the efforts put into accommodating both louder and quieter guests!

We made an online booking at the very last moment, but when we arrived we got a warm welcome! The stairs were a bit steep, but the rooms were large and very clean. The breakfast is very simple, so don't expect to much of that.

Hostel 47 is clean, modern and the owner is a genuinely nice guy. Easy to find and comfortable rooms. Not a terrible location, its a 15 minute walk to the old centre of Ghent. Wifi on ground floor - would be better in rooms. Would stay here again.

Came with a stag do and they were very accommodating whereas other parts of the town frowns upon stag do's (we were well behaved though). Facilities were very good but basic, but service was very good, especially helping us get to know the town. Marked down on score as breakfast was really too basic and wifi didn't extend to top...

Simply put this hostel is clean, convenient and perfect for some one who's just looking for a roof over thier head!! Location is literally no more than a 10 minute walk (walking slowly as well) ideal for stag / hen dos and travelers alike!!

We were stuck in Ghent because of the strike to/from Brussels. Immedietly started to call hostels to get a vacancy. This was the only place that would have us at 01am. The owner came from is house to open the door and receive us. They provided bed sheets and bath towels. Would definitely go back there if I ever go...

The owner was very friendly and helpful, checking train timetables for us and recommending places to go out. We stayed there on a Sunday so that made our stay much more quiet. Rooms and facilities were very clean. Just a 10-15 minute walk to Daamport train station, and close to the main city attractions.

This hostel is a good quality hostel, despite the fact it seems nice the service is bad. The overstressed hostelkeeper walks around with his grumpy face, telling you what to do. I think he is not capable to run a hostel and I advice him to hire friendly staff. The hostel is noisy because of the thin-walled rooms and the...

I stayed two weeks in hostel47 and just felt like home! Everything is clean, the employees are lovely, there is a garden where you can do BBQ, the breakfast is good, the bedrooms are nice (i was lucky to get a room with only two beds :) ). Well, I strongly recommand Hostel47!

I feel there is nothing I can fault with Hostel 47! The location of the hostel was on the edge of town, but a short walking distance to the main sites and museums. The rooms and faculties and clean, spacious and unlike many of the run down hostel amenities available elsewhere. Most of all, the owners are not only down...
