A very imposing hotel frontage, very close to the centre. We were given room 44, which meant nothing until we went in. It is an incredible room with a lounge/observation room above it on the very top of the hotel. It affords panoramic views of the whole city. Stunning. Great value and superb staff.

This hotel is particularly well located opposite the castle with many fine bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel is spread over two separate buildings with the breakfast room being in the building behind. Parking is limited and is on a first come first served basis (only 16 spaces). The bedrooms are well appointed and are clean. The bathroom is great...

Very good location and easy to find right by the castle and the tourist information office. Easy walk from tram stop. We had a very quiet older room on the 2nd floor facing the back of the hotel. Very generous breakfast in pleasant room. Some people might have trouble with quirky layout of hotel involving a few steep steps up...

Tried to stop off here for two nights on a driving tour but with the roadworks we just couldn't find the place using satnav. Eventually had to park illegally somewhere and walk to the hotel (which had no parking) over the cobbles quite a way with our cases. Next day they said they did have parking so we tried again...

I stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is in a good location in the city centre ... that is, if you are on foot or travel by public transport. I took the risk and tried reaching the hotel by car ... never ever again. This is not the hotels fault, rather the consequence of the city policy to make...

This was our second visit to Ghent, and this time we chose to stay "central" as opposed to edge of town. Hotel could not be more perfectly located being just a couple of minutes' walk from the Graslei/Korenlei area in one direction and Castle of the Counts in the other.. Definitely an older property, with additional rooms added on; we...

In Europe where space is a premium, we had a lovely large hotel room with a big bathroom. It was quite hot when we were there and it was great to have air conditioning. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was nice. The location of the hotel couldn't be better. You are right across the road from the old castle...

My partner and I stayed in the second building (room 92) and here it goes: The good: - really amazing location! Close to the squares and filled with great restaurants etc. - we had a pretty good view from our window :) The not so good: - this place is outdated. The photos on the website look pretty good (and...

We had a deluxe room, No.22, there are only 2, it was on the second floor with 2 long windows overlooking the street, castle and river. The room is very spacious with some original features, cornicing, ceiling rose, an old mirror. The decor is spartan, but new and clean. Bed was large, comfy, bedding good quality, some was new and...

I was on a business meeting at the Marriott and they were full on my last night. The Marriott sent me over to the Gravensteen. Trusting the hotel not to pick a bad place I accepted the offer (132Eur +17Eur Breakfast +3 Eur City Tax) . Not cheap so I had some expectations. Entrance is classical of old mansions and...

Dear Sir, We always happily welcome suggestions to change and improve our product and services.; these are constructive critical points. We gladly can accept this since we learn from it. Nevertheless, in this essay, I can feel the anger and frustration from a guest who wants to write off his unhappy feelings, which is a pity. Furthermore we regret you...
