The Hotel was lovely and location perfect. So pleasant to return to after a hectic day taking in the amazing sights of Bruges. Our room was well appointed (215) good wardrobe space and a beautiful bathroom. On the bed was George the teddy bear in his bathrobe - cute and available for purchase in Reception. Boat Trips are a must...

We spent 2 nights at the Hotel de Orangerie earlier this month. We had a junior suite which worked well with our family of 3. It was so relaxing to come back to the hotel after a long day of sightseeing. We enjoyed a cocktail by the fire and played board games with our daughter. The hotel was close enough...

The hotel is in an excellent location, easy for walking to see all the sights and near to two boat trip boarding points. The staff are friendly and professional. Canal side rooms have a lovely view. Good quality beds but rather high - difficult to climb into for senior citizens! Great coffee machine.

Very lovely 20 room boutique hotel right in the center of things and along a canal. The breakfast was extensive. They have parking available but it is limited so book ahead. The one small criticism I had was everytime you sit on the toilet, the toilet paper goes flying on the floor, Very poor design or placement of the paper...

I can't decide if it was sitting in the lounge with a glass of wine or breakfast in the portrait room that i loved more, but each made me want to stay here forever. Every nook and cranny is a delight to the eye. Service is ultra attentive. The place is just beautiful. We could have stayed for a year.

Cannot fault the location, staff, ambiance and the breakfasts are superb, eggs cooked to order. Easy booking car space (limited capacity). Road network makes it tricky to navigate to but once accomplished, no problem. This was our second visit and we would certainly stay again. Charming décor and facilities. Although the hotel does not have a restaurant there are many...

The hotel is very well located, the rooms are elegant and cozy. The communal space is beautiful. Breakfast is very good. The lobby is not as beautiful as the rest of the hotel. The bar unfortunately is open to the people who are not guest of the hotel which makes difficult to sit. The staff could be more helpful and...

A wonderful little hotel in Bruges, perfect for a romantic long weekend. In the heart of Bruge it can be a challenge to drive to with all the tourist crowds but persevere it's well worth it!! Our room was quite compact but very well appointed - a smaller footprint is to be expected in the buildings set within the perimeter...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
De Orangerie Hotel is located right on the most picturesque canal of medieval Bruges in the very heart of the city centre. This small XV century monastery of the Sisters Karthuizerinnen has been converted into a wonderful "boutique hotel", furnished with exclusive fabrics (Braquenié, Pierre Frey, Bennison, Ralph Lauren), antiques, and objets d'art. All of the 20 graciously proportioned bedrooms have been individually decorated with antiques, and offer all the modern comfort that the discerning traveller expects. In the elegant lounge along the canal, guests can relax by the open fire, in comfortable sofas while going through the available art books and international magazines, and enjoying a drink which is served round the clock. The winter garden lounge with its views on the “trompe l’oeil” Italian gardens is a haven of rest and tranquillity in fresh white and light-greyish colours. It is recommended to enjoy the typical English “Afternoon Tea” or an aperitif either on the waterfront terrace or in the cozy lounge. ... more   less
