We found ourselves disappointed based on the reviews we’d seen prior. Like a few other reviews mention, upon booking we assumed we’d stay in the main hotel, however upon arrival we were walked out to their external building which when you look at your info booklet in the room is actually ‘Hotel Prinsenhof’ As we were visiting for our anniversary we made sure to go to the front desk while having drinks in the bar to make sure we could order a bottle up to our room once we left. They assured us room service was 24 hour and it wouldn’t be a problem. We called the number not long after and were told we actually couldn’t get any room service as we’re in the out building, we told them we would happily walk over to the main building and pick it up, we’d just really like the bottle. They told us sorry, but no. My partner wasn’t happy about this so called back to ask again if we could just order and come across to collect our drinks and they told us ‘Room service is reserved for those staying in the 5 star building, not for those in the 0 star building’ Absolutely shocking. After another call where we begged and pleaded they eventually let us pay for and pick up a bottle, but I have to say it wasn’t the kind of experience I was expecting, and I wish they’d told me in advance I wasn’t going to be treated as nicely as the other guests, I would’ve gone elsewhere.

This hotel is absolutely lovely, & just across the road from its parent hotel, The Dukes' Palace, where we had to check in & also where we went for breakfast. Underground parking was also provided below the parent hotel, at an additional cost, but it was so convenient & secure. What a little gem the lovely Dukes' Palace Residence Hotel was : the location is perfect in a quiet little cobbled street & our rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean & came with toiletries & coffee making machines. It was very quiet too, though only a few minutes' walk away from all the hustle & bustle of the main attractions. Breakfast was served at the main Dukes' Palace Hotel across the road, which is an absolutely stunning hotel that resembles a castle. It's beautiful. We were absolutely spoiled for choice at breakfast - what a sumptuous feast we were presented with, and what choice! Just amazing! Sadly, we were only in Bruges staying at this fabulous hotel for one night, but if ever we find ourselves in this gorgeous city again, we'll be heading straight back to this hotel. We can't recommend it highly enough.

Very much enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast, which was served across the street, was wonderful and was a great start to our day. Location is perfect for accessing the sites in Brugge but was also very quiet.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is incredible, not to be missed! Fantastic location, quiet but with the main square just a few minutes walk away. We would definitely stay here again. My only complaint is the towels were not up to the standard of the hotel, very thin. When I asked, I was told there was no alternative. There is also no firm pillow option so you may want to take your own if you don’t like soft pillows!

Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel in the center of town. Very nice rooms, comfy beds, and amazing bathtub. It was also very quiet and the staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast at the main palace hotel was great too!

The Dukes Palace is a stunningly beautiful property, with a lovely garden and sitting areas both inside and out. Its location is perfect for one to use as a home base while exploring Bruges. The staff at the restaurant were courteous and professional, and the food well presented and delicious. The room we were given was lovely and spacious. We did find it a bit odd, however when we first entered the room, and saw a hotel staff member tending to something on the rooftop. Thankfully he never made another appearance in our 3 night stay. The staff at the front desk are pleasant enough but not overly helpful or engaging. We understand that they were dealing with the vans of tourists that entered the hotel continuously and can understand if they had reached their limits. We would most likely choose another hotel in the future, just because of the constant stream of tourists.

A warm welcome. It was our anniversary and we were upgraded to a more luxurious suite. This was warmly welcomed by my wife and I. A welcoming personalized note showed the attention to details. Check was seamless and so was checkout. Very convenient to stay when visiting Brugge as everything is with walking distance

What a luxurious hotel right in the center of town. We stayed in the residences right across the street from the palace. The rate was a couple of hundred euro cheaper. But, you have all the great benefits of palace. Breakfast in the palace was unbelievable. Everything you can imagine. Hot and cold buffet. Eloquent dining room. The rooms were very clean and a nice size. Staff was very friendly. Definitely would stay there again.

Our room was nice however it was quite plain and we would have liked it to be bigger. The restaurant was really good though. One member of staff who was a young man knew a lot about allergies and was very helpful. The food was amazing. I would return for the food.

The hotel is a beautiful building, stunning architecture with the perfect location to visit all attractions. The staff have been excellent and the food in their restaurant is first class. They have a garden with an outside area to eat, drink and wander.
