I stayed here with a friend for two nights and there's not really anything bad I can say about the hotel. The staff were friendly, hotel was clean, rooms were spacious and bathroom was a good size. The beds were really comfy and the view from our room was lovely! Location wise it isn't bad at all, we got a...

We loved our stay at Hotel Ter Brughe. Great room, comfy bed. Amazing breakfast and friendly staff. Really great to be able to use the safe garage for our car at a small cost. Great location to the city and very lovely staff.

This is an ideal base for a visit. It's only 5-10 minutes walk to the main attractions in the centre of Bruges, but on a quiet canal side. Historic building, so no lift but we made it up flights of stairs to 2nd floor. Good bathroom (shower attachment on bath - not separate cubicle). Safe and fridge in room. Staff...

It was a historical building along with the river in an excellent atmoshere close to the center. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with different types of cheeses.

Nice two night stay here in a good sized, comfy double room. Convenient to get around Bruges from, with an easy five minute walk to the main square. The hotel had plenty of character, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was great to set up for a day of strolling around the city.

First, the location is lovely, the building quite extraordinary and it had been modernized very tastefully, except for the monogrammed dark blue carpet which made the rooms seem dark. Breakfast was self-service which meant that it was somewhat overcooked and lukewarm; I have had better coffee elsewhere but the real problem was that, after a day sight-seeing , we arrived...

Dear Guest We thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear your stay was disappointing, we are disappointed as well as we make quite an effort to try to pleasure our guests during their stay. Helpful staff, good spacious rooms and decent breakfast. We stayed 2 nights in a premium room that over looked the canal - very scenic outlook and very quiet room. Also worth noting they have a charge point for Tesla cars!

Just stayed 2 nights here and found the hotel very nice although a few minus points to mention Firstly no proper shower which if I'd realized then probably would not have booked Also parking at 25 euros at night is very expensive Lastly the breakfast !! Very crowded too many tables crammed in to a small area and "mildly" warm...

Arrived at hotel to be given a room which hadn't been made up! down to reception to get another room. It wasn't the largest of rooms but as we're staying only one night we ignored the marks on the walls and radiator, the cobwebs on the beams, and the dirt on the chandelier! and the fact it had no shower screen...

A beautiful hotel close to city centre. Very quiet, I slept very well. The main square of Brugge was only 10 minute walk away. Beside the hotel building there were a canal and two swans were swimming just in front of hotel. Built in 15th century and renovated in 1990's, so there's no elevator, stairs are steep. The room was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Ter Brughe is situated in the centre of Bruges. The Markt, the shopping streets, all main attractions, nice restaurants and cozy bars are within walking distance. Along one of the most picturesque canals in the peaceful old quarter of St.Gillis, between the Augustine Bridge and the Tower Bridge , you will find the hotel. The oldest reference to the building dates from 1470. Believed is that the beautiful vaulted cellar is older. Built originally as a warehouse for goods which were brought here along the canals, it serves today as a magnificent setting for your buffet breakfast. The hotel is non-smoking and has 46 comfortable rooms. Since 1985 hotel Ter Brughe is a listed building. Therefore there is no elevator in the hotel. ... more   less
