We have stayed at the Academie a number of times in the past, and always been pleased with the rooms and the great location. It is just steps away from the beautiful beguinage, and easy access to the main attractions of Bruges. Our last visit was two years ago, and the big surprise was the stylish updating of the breakfast...

We stayed as a party of four adults and two children in two rooms. We visited Bruge for a day and night and it was the perfect place to explore the city from. 5-10 min walk to main square and family friendly restaurants on the door step. Receptionists were extremely helpful, even presenting the children with Easter rabbit soft toys....

Fantastic location and staff. Room was clean and I enjoyed the complimentary chocolates. Staff were knowledgeable and helped navigate us around Bruge. 10€ per hour for late check out was abit steep! ..

We have spent three beautiful nights in this lovely hotel. The room wasn't huge but very nicely decorated with tea/coffee making facilities, fridge, free toiletries, cable TV small sitting area. The beds were very comfortable, we enjoyed the UK TV channels we don't have opportunity to watch normally. There was a bath/shower combination which was great and the warm towel...

I stayed here with a couple of friends, on our motorcycles. One of the main draws was the central location and secure underground parking (A parking bay costs 20 euros a night). We fitted 3 motorcycles in 1 bay. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location on a cobbled street. Surrounded by shops and bars and only a few...

Our bathroom reeked of smoke. We told the front desk, but there wasn't another room available and they didn't even offer an apology. Later we noticed the shower head was broken. The breakfast was good and included a lot of food to choose from. The lobby area was nice too.

Staff were very friendly, breakfast was great, (included in our deal as €20 if not) beds were comfortable and location excellent! Room was comfortable and we had an interesting bathroom light situation! Apparently the bathroom lights were due to work via a movement sensor! Ours seemed to have a mind of its own!! It was on all the time apart...

Lovely hotel. Rooms are spacious and beds are really comfortable. Breakfast very good with lots of choice. On arrival was told where the lift was, despite room only being on first floor. Soon found out why as managed to fall on the very narrow spiral staircase - a moment of distraction and obviously my own fault. Staff most unbothered and...

We chose this hotel as it was within walking distance to the train station. It was a lovely hotel... within walking distance of everything that we wanted to see and do in Brugge. The hotel staff were very helpful. We enjoyed their excellent breakfast too. No complaints at all!
