Our flight was delayed which meant we arrived much later than anticipated but nothing was too much trouble for Carine it seemed as she stayed until we arrived and explained everything we needed to know about the area. Complimentary drinks were consumed during this chat. The hotel reception area is comfortable and cozy. When we opened the door to our...

A great hotel following on from Le Macassar as we were visiting the Battlefields. Carine was a charming lady and nothing was too much trouble. Our bedrooms were comfortable, spacious and had everything especially that enormous bath and TV. A bit noisy if you have a front room.

We have just returned home after our third short break at the Main Street hotel and we are delighted to report that the quality of the rooms, breakfasts and hospitality, continue to be maintained to a very high standard. How is this for attention to detail....my wife asked for mint tea whilst I opted for standard breakfast tea. The tea...

From the moment we stepped into the Main Street Hotel and rang the bell at the front desk, we thoroughly enjoyed the service, attention and pure hospitality. Carine. our host, began by offering us our choice of a complimentary drink to start off so I had a beer and my wife a wine and she told us everything about the...

If you are visiting the area, this is the place to stay. Nothing is too much trouble for Carine, including helping you choose and book restaurants. A pleasant walk to the centre and Menin Gate and we found parking easy right outside the Hotel. Great rooms with everything you could ask for. Breakfast was excellent with lots of home baked...

Warm welcome, delightful rooms, 10 minutes walk to the Menin Gate, and the best breakfast in Belgium! Don't miss it. The hotel is small but the character is huge - Carine has created something really special.

My wife & I stayed for two nights recently as part of a (very) long weekend away. The hotel is easy to get to by road and there is ample parking outside the church opposite. Our welcome at the hotel was really friendly; having established that this was our first visit to Ypres our host, Carine, got us both a...

Beautiful room in the centre of the town. We chose Ypres for our last destination, after a 3 week week driving tour of Europe, for its close proximity to the ferries. It turned out to be one of the highlights of the holiday. Carine was most accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation was first class. We only...

I stayed at this wonderful hotel for one night during a trip to the first world war battlefields with a mate. We were welcomed by the owner, Carine, with a drink and a friendly chat that was one of the most relaxing check-in processes I have ever had. Carine, upon hearing the reason for our stay, told us about the...

A wonderful boutique hotel. 6 different themed rooms with a quirky feel. Very warm welcome from Carine. She was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing. Fresh homemade bread daily, homemade pork pates. Warm homemade rice pudding, the best I have ever tasted. Also plenty of choices of hot breakfast from eggs and bacon to waffles....
