Only had a quick stop for a very very basic lunch (although the whole, very long menu, was quite pricey for Namibian standards) and a look around the public areas (restaurant, bar, toilets, reception). I believe it used to be a fine place (e.g. the wooden flooring in the reception area), but is nowadays rather run-down and tired. For a...

We did not stay at the hotel but just stopped there for a piece of cake and cup of tea on our way to see Spitzkoppe ... It was very quiet as they appeared to be preparing for a conference or function. Cake was lovely and worth the stop. Dramatic views of the ocean.

Situated on a hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Very relaxed atmosphere. Helpful friendly staff. Beautiful sea views. Delicious food. Great place to visit either for a cold beer, hot meal or room to stay in. You will enjoy this lovely small town hotel.

Accommodation here is reasonably priced, however do not expect much in terms of extra comfort. Meals are above average, staff well mannered and friendly. Bar is great for a drink or two, however could be very noisy. Easily accessible as almost everyone in Henties Bay knows the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at De Duine Hotel. Clean and tidy rooms, good food, interesting bar and people that frequent the bar. Service was very good. Friendly staff members. And all of that right next to the beach. What a pleasure. We'll be back, that's for sure.

The De Duine Hotel is an institution in Henties Bay, a quaint and developing holiday town on the Namibian skeleton coast. The hotel has changed ownership again and hopefully this will be the change people have been waiting for. The service was friendly, typically of the locals and attentive. The menu is extensive and should cater for all. Personally I...

A real country pub fit for all fishermen at heart. We had a beer and Calamari rings which was average, although the service was prompt, friendly and efficient. You could rather sit there and have a sundowner while longingly staring across the sea towards America. A perfect sea view.

Stopped over for fresh fish, which was very fresh and very good. Backed up by friendly service. But that is where the charm stops. Outside table was so dirty I moved to a different one. Waiters were engaged in conversation when I arrived and completely ignored me. Not a pretty setting apart from the view of the ocean across the...

This is a hotel in transition. The first thing you see when you walk into the reception area is a series of "Architects Plans and Impressions" taped to the wall. A development application to been approved and, we were told that funding is in place. So, from the first minute, we knew not to expect very much and adopted a...
