First, it is difficult to compare a third world country hotel when a U.S. hotel is your base comparison. That being said, this is well kept, large rooms and larger bathroom. Staff is pleasant and work hard to understand my limited Spanish. Food has been good and varied. Bar is well stocked with local and US beers, sodas etc. Love...

Back in Nueva Ocotepeque, but only for the day. The hotel's restaurant, Don Chepe, is very neat and clean, and the dining room is air conditioned. The food is undoubtedly better in this hotel than others in...

“Make sure to check on availability of water (hot or cold) before taking a shower. This is common in all of the hotels, but nothing to be concerned about.”
