We had a lovely meal at the Ship this evening: the new menu is brilliant - especially for vegetarians, who are not used to being spoiled for choice. This is the second time we've eaten her in the last few weeks, and tonight was as good as before. Very friendly staff, delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. Free wi-fi with... More

We have a large people carrier and struggled to find a parking space at first so left it until 3.00 pm. I asked if my dogs could go in and was told they could sit at the back. I would have sat in the heated area if necessary. We had the 2 course lunch served until 5.00 pm. We both... More

Took the family for an evening meal on the 26th October during half term. Food was ok, but the customer service from the restaurant manager was shocking. My wife's meal was wrong and when it eventually arrived we had all finished, meaning that she had to eat by herself. When it came to pay, I suggested that her meal should... More

Great lunch, burger was cooked to perfection but the service was poor as the lady who served us was rude and rushed us off our table and I would visit again but service need to be sorted out plus this place is in a lovely location

Visited this pub many times during our scenic walks from Aberporth to Tresaith. Today we stopped for lunch which is served all day. Food was delicious had to wait awhile as it was very busy but we weren't in any rush and enjoyed relaxing looking out at the beach.

Arrived at 1.30pm on the Monday of Half term and was told, rudely, that there was an hour wait before they would even take our order. This would have been understandable but the manner of was spoken to was awful. Disgusting. We thought we'd wait it out with crisps to be told by the extremely rude bar man they only... More

I reviewed the Ship about 18 months ago, and found it was exceptionally good. So it was disappointing to find it now still fairly good, but in no way outstanding. Still friendly and welcoming, but food now average. Puddings especially heavy and undistinguished, whereas once they were to die for. I know it was past the end of season (October)... More

Always a good sign of a good pub if it's busy but a 1 and a 1/2 hour wait for lunch is too much to ask. Quick half and onto another pub for lunch. Shame. Perhaps we were just unlucky with the time we arrived?

Beautiful location, great menu (limited vegetarian options) and friendly service in the evening. Advertised breakfast available up to 10am we arrived in plenty of time, but asked on arrival had we booked and told that the chef had put the Sunday roasts in so they couldn't serve us!! Such a shame.....

Have visited for the last 2 years for drinks and food only, and always wanted to stay, so finally booked and stayed this weekend. All I can say it's been the most relaxing weekend. Made to feel so welcome by Kayleigh and her team. The evening meal we had was absolutely beautiful, and so was breakfast. All locally sourced and... More
